New Threads: I'm up for it. I'll follow you guys anywhere.
Sara: wow, there is so much there . . . Sae, Ara, Tara, even Serah. I like it.
Title of your q&a post: you mean, write a post about Ara in her dark 50s phase? Yuuuusssssss

Yup.
This thread initially was just going to be a thing about how Kith met Ch'dau and then it blew up!
A new thread for the Post-HC stuff is definitely appropriate.
Things are starting to settle down, here, so I should be able to get that collab started in just a few.

Have I mentioned yet
Just how long it took me to realize how close the names Tara and Ara are? I mean, it's just one letter! Though Tara is more like "tear-uh" and Ara I pronounce "are-uh", but aesthetically so close.
Now that I'm writing this I feel like I have mentioned it before, but my memory is poop, so I apologize if this is repeated info. The random parallels between our characters always surprise me. They were meant to be a family
Speaking of which, perhaps part of Recovery can be hunting down Randel! Cat-dad can meet OG dad. That would be interesting.
"Oh hey, sir, look it's your kid you haven't seen in over a decade!" *gestures to a catatonic Kith in the back of a wagon* "So uuuuhh, some stuff happened . . . ."

Fo sho!!!
Our little group definitely meshes well despite obvious differences! Meant to be a family sums it up beautifully!
ing at "Oh hey, sir, look it's your kid you haven't seen in over a decade!" *gestures to a catatonic Kith in the back of a wagon* "So uuuuhh, some stuff happened . . . ." While humorous, it would definitely be an interesting little sub-plot in that next tale.
Aaaaand, first part of the collab is off to Rer!

Of names
Aranwen being shortened to 'Ara' just ocurred because it felt right as a short form said between Saeriel and Aranwen
I did find it rather interesting you picked the name Tara for Kithran's mentor, and then noticed the similarity there
I picked the name Mithwen for its similarity to Kithran for Aranwen to have a double take on first meeting Kithran
As for the name Sara...
Well, let's just say that I am fairly certain that Aranwen is going to be reconnecting a lot with her memory of Saeriel, after a fashion - S[aeriel] + ara[nwen], she'll look to live her life as Saeriel would have liked to, outside of being a bladesinger. Picking up books, reading, looking after a garden/crops, and perhaps starting to become something of an apothecarian.
It's a vague idea of where I see her going, anyhow

Nomenclature
S[aeriel] + ara[nwen] that's perfect
I've been thinking about Kith too, and how she'll be after getting through the worst of it. She's just still so young, you know? She won't live as long as a Sylvari, but she has around 250 years to go. I think she has a chance to find herself again.
Tara: sometimes names just stick, ya know? I didn't actually really like the name at first, but once it came up I just kept coming back to it. Tara demanded that be her name and so it was!

Ch'dau is thick...
... he'll probably go with Samuel, tbh. First, because that's what Kith called him "early on" and, second, because I imagine it'd be easier for "locals" to pronounce and wouldn't draw too much attention if mentioned in stories outside of whatever-village.
I figure he'll be quieter and more restrained in the aftermath of HC but still capable of incredible fury if provoked.
And, as I've mentioned before, I figure he goes the path of most "older" kazari on Capasha and becomes a blacksmith if/when our little trio finds a place to settle. Hunting guide fits, given the NWPs (or skills, if you will) on his original charcter sheet, but circumstances being what they likely are, smith makes more sense as he'd be reluctant to leave "Sara" or "Tara" for extended lengths of time (at least to help someone else hunt).
So, now I have a vision of a forge in town, in close proximity to an apothecary shop, and the proprietors of both toddling off to a cabin on the fringes of town when the market closes for the night...

The other reason, of course...
For Aranwen to pick up apothecarial skills - Kithran may not be under any spell, but that doesn't mean she can't help her be more comfortable, especially with something like tea.
Aaand so she can help look after both Ch'dau and Kithran's health. She may not be able to read anything on Kazari, but she might certainly end up writing about them, their health and how to care for them.

My elfin love!
I'm sure that, over the course of KCandK and HC, Kith and Ara have come to know more about the Kazari than most folk on Antaron, And, seriously, in the post HC timeline, all Ara/Sara would need do is ask and Ch'dau would tell her anything she might want to know. Assuming he knew what to tell her, at least.
I'm loving this more and more the longer we speculate.

More musings
If Kithran had to choose another name, she'd probably stick with Ikhari, but she'd stick with her name if she could.
Also
Kith: *lightly punches Samuel* Samuel: What is it Kithran? I'm working Kith: I remember . . . we used to enjoy fighting each other, yes? *puts fists up* I think I would like to try that again. Samuel: *siiiiigh* You know Sara would not like me to throw punches at you. Kith: *punches him again* You sound like such a . . . dogo . . . timbli, Samuel. *punch punch* Samuel: V'dogo t'mbili--HEY! Kith: *punch punch* does she tell you how to put on your loincloth in the morning as well? *punch punch*
2 Minutes Later
Kith: *flies out of the shop and crashes into Sara's garden* Samuel: *stepping out of the shop* SAMUEL IS H--oh hi Sara! Kith: *jumps up, adjusting plants* Oh, hi Sara! We were just um-- Samuel: Just uuummm-- Sara: *sprays them with the watering can* you two will fix these and water them. Kith/Samuel: Yes Sara. Sara: Good *sprays them more*

Well
I don't see why Kithran would need to unless she wanted. Aranwen's is a matter of survival so she has little choice there...

Agreed
She'd stay a Kithran for sure.
She has a couple centuries to get into enough trouble that might warrent a name change hahaaaa but for now she'd stay a Kith Cat Bar.
