Ella laughed. "Family sucks!" She smiled at him.

"So do most of the people I end up with."

A clever joke. Bad, but clever.

"Not something I thought you'd smile about. Most women would slap me and run away if they found out who I really was."

His hand sunk back beneath the water, resting on his thigh.

"Most people want to 'help' me when they find out what I am. And who I am."

Ella brushed back her hair, exposing the slanted ears. "For some reason, everyone wants an Elven mistress."

"I wouldn't mind it...I usually keep the whole Arch Angel thing hidden. Most people don't like it when they know their sleeping with a damned divine creation...not exactly a womans idea of a fun time. But, I don't balme anyone who wants you, Elves are beautiful, smart, funny, classy...you've got it all."

She glanced at him. "Being an Arch Angel would be so much better. You have wings, for my lady's sake!" She blushed suddenly. "Oops. Sorry, I worship the Nature Lady, Remirsa."

"I know her...met her as a kid, she talks to me occasionally...but she never really liked me..."

She looked confused.

"Yeah, I'm a divine creation...so technically...I'm the spawn of gods...not sure which ones, but I talk with them all...'cept Tarsonis...he never really liked me. I guess I'm not hot headed enough for him...oh well."

He smiled.

"As for being an Arch Angel, it's not bad, just not good when your trying to...well...get somewhere with some unexpecting human girl..."

"Elves are known to wed all but humans." Ella grinned. "By some stroke of faith, I just happen to be full."

"Commitment...one of my biggest fears."

He shook his head and stood up a little. He was considerbly taller then Ella, so his knees and below remained submerged.

"Not fond of the idea of marrige." He let his wings out of his back.

"Sorry, can;t keep them cooped up for too long, hurts my back...and I can't get them wet."

"It's alright." Ella was, however, carefully lloking down.

"I think we're past formalities..."

She looked up.

"I won't bite...not unless you ask."

He sat on a rock behind him and stroked his white feathered wing...

Ella watched him for awhile before standing up and walking to her clothes. "Well, I'm getting kind of cold."

"Me too, being cold has it's downsides for me."

He moved back over to his armor and threw it on, taking about fifteen minutes. He was glad he hadn't tried anything, and she hadn't either.

Ella took a much shorter time, but smiled at him. "Heading back?"

"Maybe...maybe not..."

He drew his sword and dipped the blade into the water, spinning it around much like he had done with his finger. He liked being alone. When he wasn't with a woman, it was his favorite thing. He wasn't exactly a group person, and he prefered the quiet air of solitude as opposed to a more social outlook.

He grinnned again, flexing his arm once more, just for the fun of it.

'I don't quite think I've ever met a more...interesting woman in my entire life.' he thought to himself. 'What kind of teenage girl hits on you for the fun of it, gives you the option to take advantage of her, and then laughs when you tell her your a sick womanizing pervert...'

This was easily the oddest friend he'd made yet. He contemplated not trying to seduce her, but then he realized he already had. He could have made a move tonight, and she would have gone along with it. He smirked. She would be his eventually, they always ended up that way. In the end, he would get what he wanted from her and from anyone else, no matter how much they denied it. Th assassin was his as well...yes...she was just like him. Multiple lovers, easy to seduce, not big on commitments. But he would be unlike the others she had loved. He wouldn't fall prey to her in the end. She would not be able to kill him.

'In fact' he thought to himself, 'she's going to be first...I like a challenge...'

He moved over to Ella and warapped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her next to him.

"I can already tell this is going to be an interesting trip." He let her go before she got any funny ideas. He wasn't quite sure she was going to fight him...and he hoped she didn't. It was so much easier when they just accepted the eventuality. He always won in the end.

Atura made it back to camp and blinked. "Oh goody, I'm alone." She grinned. Those two... it didn't takle a demon to figure out there was attraction there.

She let her hair down and sat. It would be good to have thinking time for a bit.
