shucks!

Boo! Hiss!

Well, as you say, better now than later. Keep it in mind, though... it won't all be underway for a while, yet.

Honestly,

I think I'm going to have to drop out of this one as well. Running a (paused) game on this forum, as well as one on another forum, school, and with fencing season starting... it's only going to get worse.

Ah well.

Must... control urge to... make Scotty reference...

Well, live long and prosper, anyway...

Understood, Davy... As Olan said, better now than later. If, at any point you decide to change yuor mind, though, Trek Games are pretty expansive where crews go and I'm sure that there will be NPC spots that you can slide into even if you dcide to come back once the game is fully underway after the first of the year.

Thanks for giving us a thought, anyway.

Also, Grugg has backed out of the CMO slot aboard Cerberus so, once again, we've got a full blown opening for that position. Aaaaaand... the Charon still needs everything but a CO and XO... Get 'em together and beam 'em up, folks.

Sorry about that...

...I've got a couple of things left to look up where your character's concerned, Sui, and I'll have some input back to you, hopefully, sometime today... Weekend got away from me what with dragging Christmas stuff out of the attic, etc...

an offer to help!

If I can be of any help, Sui, let me know. Eol's better than me on tech specifications, but I challenge anyone to a duel of overall Trek-geedom!

The gauntlet has been tossed...

...and Eol has flinched.

Tech specs are my forte... Olan's got the market cornered on overall Trek-geekdom, though.

crew needs

Here's what I see right now as real needs for the Cerberus:

a Chief Engineer
a Chief Science Officer

I see these as "really nice to have":
a Chief Operations Officer
a Chief Medical Officer
a Security Chief

Naturally, we have room for TONS more players. Just my two cents.

Two cents... compund the interest... yep...

...those are valuable pennies!

Engineering and Sciences do need dept heads... I foresee both depts having pretty big roles/responsibilities in the upcoming cruise.

An Ops officer would be great, as would a PC CMO (though, we are equipped with an Emergency Medical Hologram, I'd prefer not to get too 'Voyager' with it)... aaand, for those of you who are considering joining but are skittish due to lack of Trek knowledge, Security is a great position for you... no overwhelming need for your own ST databank partition of yer noodle, just carry a phaser, throw doofuses in the brig, and provide 'standard security' details... Until we get a dedicated Chief of Security, though, "Mester Rrowl" will fulfill the TAC/SEC duties.

stop it!

Stop talking about needing a chief Engineer! It won't work!

whaaaat?

Just because you played the best Chief Engineer I've ever played with?

Nobody said you had to play. I mean, sure, I grovelled, begged, debased myself, and would gladly do it again, but it's okay.

Really.

*sniff*

*Steps off the transporter pad*

He looked around with an expression of awe plastered on his face as he took in the cool carbon plating and the multitude of blinking lights which glittered across various consoles and interfaces like the stars dotting the blackness of space. Taking his first steps forward, he was greeted by the Transporter chief, and gave a curt nod of the head in reply.

"Officer Kaelyn Reporting for Duty"

Olan looked me up and I'm interested in getting someone whipped out to join the crew! I've prided myself on Trekky Geekdom, and loved the DS9 timeline, so this sounds awesome. I'm thinking Ops is sounding like a grand choice, lemme refresh my noggin on positions and potential and pop some concepts up.

This game is still recruiting, so, if you've even got a passing interest in any position aboard either the Cerberus or the Charon, feel free to post here (or on Brom's Charon Staff Fulfillment thread)... At the time of this writing, the positions we've got filled are as follows:
Cerberus

  • Cheif Engineering Officer - Lt Steward Tier (Alacrity)
  • MACO Commanding Officer - Lt ??? (Vesper ???)
  • MACO Command NCO??? - MSgt McQueen??? (Brianna ???)
  • MACO Alpha Squad Leader - SSgt Taggart (suicidolt)
  • Diplomatic Officer - Christoph Arevaci (Rystefn K'ryll)
  • Chief Medical Officer - Lt. Cdr Jon Hash (Bromern Sal)
  • Commander of the Romulan Contingent - Centurion Knialmnae (DragonMistress)

Charon
  • Commanding Officer - Captain Kelsey Gavison (Brom)

  • Chief Tactical/Security Officer - Lt Cdr Talon (ye Olde)
  • Chief Engineering Officer - Lt Cdr (???) Ben Jones (Eol)
