hmmm

Grugg realized what we already feared: he doesn't have enough time to play in this game.

Although that is a sad thing, I believe it's important that he discovered this in an early stage of the game.

This means that we're all set, and that I can take you guys to the beginning of the actual adventure. I do hope for a few IC roleplay posts as a reaction to introductions.

I forgot

I forgot to mention that I posted an update yesterday. It involves the nature of your quest/adventure.

sorry, normally I notify when an update is ready.

Question...

Is the bracelet that was found at the scene of the crime a common thing amongst those of the orphanage? Do all the children wear one? Are they required to wear one? Did our characters wear similar bracelets back in the day? (perhaps, still have them?!)

Also, what is the name of the official organization that would be "investigating" this crime? (i.e. what is the name for "police" in Drefast?)

I hope to post tomorrow afternoon.

the bracelet

the bracelet is something uncommon for orphans to wear. Some orphans have one made once they leave the orphanage, as a reminder of their origins.

You can have one made if you chose to, though perhaps it's better if you do not wear it out in public too much, seeing the current suspicion.

The police... actually I don't know, and I don't think it states a name in the campaign setting. As of now, you have no idea who is investigating the situation, or IF it is being investigated.

All this you will have to find out. All Ormader knows is that they are being accused, so conclusions have probably already been taken.

addition

as an addition to my most recent post:

please feel free to ask anything you want to know before running off into the city.
It's better to do things now, since you don't have a lot of time before things start heating up

In case you didn't catch it from my post

Percifeer has the bracelet and is not planning to take it off. If you're concerned, you might try to convince her.

hehe

not at all

If you want to wear your bracelet openly, you are very welcome to do so. Ormander will be the last to ask you to remove it. I'm saying that your character might want to keep it hidden, but they don't have to.

Is anyone else going to post?

Anybody else has anymore questions for Ormander?

Let get going folks!

EDIT: Sorry... that sounded more irrate than it was meant to. Really, I'm just looking to encourage us to get this ball rolling. I know it's the Christmas season, but maybe we could atleast put in a note here saying, "Hey, I'm too busy to post anything meaningful right now. I'm out until [insert date] but I don't have anymore questions." or "Here are my questions." or you could just post to the game.

Thanks!

suspicion

there might be certain precautions you want to make before going into the city. For one, pick where you want to go now. Drefast has all the standard buildings like: courthouse, palace, tempels, all the other things that you can think of in a medievel city.

Also, since it has been dropped by somebody:
if you think one of the former orphans has anything to do with this, Ormander can give you a list of people who recently left his guidance.

You guys have plenty of freedom in how, what and where, but like Ayrn says: we need posts to continue.

Merry Christmas, y'all!

So, not a lot of response since Almerin and I posted. I'm guessing you're all stuffing yourself on Christmas dinners and busy with the new toys Santa brought you.

I hope to post late tonight... tomorrow at the latest. I don't have a lot more questions. A list of orphan that have recently left will be nice though.

Blessings all!

Ayrn

Some questions/ comments

If possible I'd like Pio to speak with the councillor. Can Pio make a Knowledge [Local] check to see what the best way to get an audience with the councillor would be?

What was the name of the assistant of the councillor that spoke with Ormander?

Almerin, please be honest... how do you feel about the group splitting up? It means more work for you, of course.

please not

I'd rather the group didn't split up. It's not only more work, it's just not a good idea in general considering that I'd have to tone down all the encounters.

You knowledge Local reveals that your best shot at speaking with the Councillor in such a short time is catching him in between meetings or social obligations.

List with names will come on later.
