Okay...

...now that I'm back behind the keyboard and somewhat recuperated from vacation and the 12 hour drive home, let me just say  "Friggin' WOW!" That was an epic outcome to a battle I was all but sure we were destined to lose! Bra-friggin-VO!!! (Not sure what the sound of one Kazari clapping might be but go ahead and insert said sound here!) Hooray for Davena and Garn coming to our rescue (suspicious as that may be).

A few things, here, before I get into considering a post:

  1. I'm guessing we're all in pretty rough shape, at the moment, yes? Doubtful that, even between Cedric and Moreno, that there was enough healing magic to go around to get us back into top form, right? Who's capable of standing and who will take forever to recoup (as of the end of that post, anyway), I guess is the question. (I ask because it appears, in post, that Ch'dau is the only one of us truly left "on his/her feet," atm).
  2. What are the chances of Ch'dau getting his blades back? If nothing else, he'd surely be upset if he couldn't find the dagger (it was a gift from Kith, after all)... though, I'm sure he'd miss the additional falcatta, as well, but there's more "sentimental value" where the dagger is concerned.
  3. (Not that I'm truly expecting an answer outside of IC but...) Where in the HELL did Davena and Garn come from? Have they been stalking us since Crandel or did we just happen to catch up with them (given that they disappeared after the bow-chicka-wow-wow with our glorious Khan Aranwen)?
  4. What in blazes must our surroundings look like, now, given that Miss Crystal Voice and Mr Dark and Grumpy laid the mystical shaka-boom on our oppressors?
  5. Is my fur singed?
  6. Does this dak'tar make my butt look big?
  7. Who put the bomp in the bomp-sha-bomp-sha-bomp?
  8. Who put the ram in the ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong?
  9. Are we there yet?

Awww hell! I'll just get a post working and see if I can't get at least some of these answers in game!

Grrrrrreatttt post, boss!

ded

Like most of us, Kith is going to need some healing and a loooooooooooong nap before she's back to summoning all of the zombies in a mile's radius upon us again.

Hoping she can find her shortbow.

I have the start of a post but I may wait until one or two go up to put mine up. At the moment her post is pretty much "Ouch blerrrg".

@Eol: I lost it at number 6 bahahaha

status

You have indeed survived.  Gib and Aranwen both lost consciousness (i.e. were reduced to negative hit points) but have been stabilized by Cedric.

Status update for the various party members:

Health:
Ch'dau - serious wounds
Aranwen - critical wounds
Gib - critical wounds
Kithran - critical wounds
Midge - moderate wound
Cedric - moderate wounds

Magic:
Midge has four mana points remianing.

Cedric is down four 1st level spells and one bonus light spell.   AKA, he can still cast one more 1st level spells (plus a light), and three second level spells.

Gib has his full compliment of divine magic.

Whewie

I as a player feel like I took some psychic damage after that!

What is the wound scale?
Is critical just like, watering the plants with blood?
Sorry, if you've posted this before feel free to point me in the right direction! I tried to look it up didn't have much luck.

No worries.  I'm sure that I shared it at some point, but that was umpteen Q&A pages ago, and I haven't stuck things to the front page of the Q&A like I do for Trek.

I do not reveal exact hit points lost or current hit point totals, since there is no realistic way to look at something and say "that's a 3 HP wound".

Instead, I use the following approximate scale.  Note that again, this is not an exact thing. Know that characters with more total HP have larger categories - for instance, a warrior with 26 HP can take a 12 HP blow and still be fully in the fight, while a 10 HP mage would be down and dying, even had me been unscathed prior to that hit.  I might call that a "serious" wound on a warrior, but a "mortal" wound on the mage.  Again, exact lines are fuzzy.

Undamaged / healthy / hale and hearty
Lightly wounded
Moderately wounded
Seriously wounded
Criticaly wounded
Mortally wounded (i.e. bleeding to death)
Dead

Apologies on the delayed posted. I . . . am the worst.

Kith is pooooopped and hurting and wondering where her shortbow is, but she's alive and her friends are alive! And that's all that matters.

I'm confuzzled

I expected Eol to be super slow to post, seeing as how he's out of town.  I expected a little more reaction all around.

Then again, Brom did mention being buried, himself.

KDXart - are you in or are you out?  Please check my PM.
