Soronuume

Soronuume reached out a hand to Brianna, without touching the woman she felt for the broken material. Slowly metal and fabric began to knit themselves back together.

"Useful talent that is. Mothers had magic tutors one after the other try to teach me magic. she had choosen a Mage to mate with in hopesof getting a mage gifted child. I just couldn't learn any spells. she kept trying for years. finally one mage tolf her I was a sink. int just sinks into me and never comes out, so mother gave up at long last." the flame hair woman recounted as the elf repaired armor and tunic.

Soronuume looked up to the woman and smiled. The mending had been not more than a simple task, but for some even the simplest trick noted awe and wonder. Magic permeated elven existence, the very air around their lands vibrated with eldritch energy. She could not imagine a life without it.

As the green elf moved to reply to the amazon warrior an incandescent green glow enveloped the area. This was the vibrant green of life and its warm touch soothed her. She felt the mysteries of the forests of Evermeet dance within her as if she had never left her home. At the same time the primal vibration of the land became more vibrant to her and for a moment she could see dew drops rushing off of plants as they turned to drink in the sunlight. The forest rhythms moved through her and she drank them in joyously.

Feel the seasons change...

As Alexandria comforted the small dragon and had Flame perched on her shoulder, she felt a sudden chill come over her which caused her to shiver slightly. It was like she had always remembered; the cold of the Underdark. Even though Eilistraee did not live in the Underdark, Alexandria longed for its cold embrace again. If only the evil could be removed from her brothers and sisters, so that she may guide her mistress back down into its depths. The Underdark's cool temperatures and dank air were always in her mind, even if Eilistraee's love of the light was in her heart and soul.

As she rode along, wondering where this sensation was coming from, Alexandria continued to make sure the fragile creature was okay. Riding Drathir, Alexandria pushed his black form a little harder to move up next to Lorae.

"Lorae, do you feel cold now? As though a magical chill went through you?"

Overheard

"Lorae, do you feel cold now? As though a magical chill went through you?"

Devon overheard the question and was intrigued that someone may have had the same strange sensation he had felt and rides up next to Alexandria.

"Wasn't evesdropping, just overheard, was it a pleasant chill or an uncomfortable chill? I felt a coolness just now that reminded me of a Genesican winter. It's one of the more pleasant seasons where I come from."

Lorae

"Not a chill for me, but a welcoming, loving warmth. It was....it was nurturing."

She turned her head to glance at Alexandria, there was a glittering of tears welling in the bottom of her eyelids.
then she looked to Devon.

Alexandria was cooing to the dragonette she had rescued, checking on it as it rested in the haversack, "How is the little one?"

Brianna/

Brianna drifted back to join the others confident enough that with a clear road ahead of them she could see far enough ahead to not have to keep up a forward scout.

"For me it ws the early spring on the grass plains," She says with fondness for the awakened memories. The air is warm in the sun with the scent of gresh grass growing, and the first spring flowers that are gathered for the Maiden's Festival.

Lorae

"I think the effect may have been different for each of us." Lorae looked about the group. "Now, I think it is time we move on. We will have to move quickly to make it to the town by sunset."

Brianna

Brianna takes out the map she had gotten and checks again on there approximate whereabouts.

"This town marked here is still a ways off. We will have to make good time to reach there by evening. That or we can just travel easier and make camp somewhere short of the town. But I will be willing to make a try for the town for a soft bed and a good mug of ale."

Brianna moved Shadowbane out at a gentle canter for a while just until he began to break a sweat then she dismounted and walk briskly with him. Later remounting and walked trotted until she cantered again, and then repeated the whole procedure again.

Brianna kept her bow out and an arrow ready to nock and draw if a convient prey passed near enough for her to take.

Soronuume

Soronuume leads Thunderclap forward to Brianna and Lorae, this strange band of adventurers held her curiosity tightly.

"To where and to what end are you all traveling?"

Brianna

Brianna glanced at Lorae but then chose to respond to Soronuume, "We seek many things, but not likely what one usually assumes for adventurers."

"I will speak truly though it will sound more of fantasy that reality. Lorae and I are not from this world, nor are our steed, or Flame. We were transported here the why of it, I do not know. With us may have come a being of great Evil, known to us as 'The Dark One.' What we seek is information of his presence and another thing prophesied on our world--The Sword of Truth, It is said to be the only thing that can destroy him. He is not easy to find as he works behind the scenes, but his presence can be discerned by the changes he causes in places and people."

Brianna watches Soronuume's response to what she had just imparted.

Soronuume

Soronuume regarded the flame haired woman for a moment. Insidious evils had threatened The People throughout their time on Toril. This new evil was no different. She had dedicated her life to the preservation of the elven people and on this day she would continue to do so.

"You're story is not so strange as it seems, my people have tales of many worlds. If some great evil threatens our world and you oppose it then let me travel with you."

Brianna

"You do not need my permission to join us, We are pleased to have you join us. There is so much we do not know about this world and would appreciate learning more."

Brianna turned to regard Soronuume's horse.

"You have a fine mount. My family were noted for their breeding of great horses. I miss guarding the herds at night, especially during late spring and summer when the new foals arrive. There were births every night, it kept us busy."

Brinna missed more than that but those other memories still hurt too much to remember she avoided then; her family murdered. her tribe scattered or enslaved and being sent to the Forbidden Isles, the prison isles is what they were.

Game Post: Traveling

The sun traversed the sky from east to west and was lowering toward the mountians to the west, their shadows slowly creeping eastward. Up ahead the weary riders could see smoke rising from over a low hill. Following the road over the hill they could see a small town with stone walls in a narrow valley with a slow meandering river running through.

There were guards on the ramparts and a trio of them on the ground at the gate.

"Who goes there?" one of the guards called out.

devon

Devon speaks up, used to this treatment back home, for all towns were fortified like this where he came from, "A group of travelers, weary of the road. I am Devon Worcslayer."

Game Post:

One of the guuards prodouduces a lit latern and comes out to survey each of the riders closely. then reterns to the gate.

"Okay, give your names and information to the guard at the guard house, just inside to the right. Peace bound your weapons, the guard will give you a rawhide thong to do so."
He waved the group to go on through through.

You pass the draw bridge, still down, then under the gate house with its murder hold in the ceiling above you. The side walls are full of arrow slits and at the end of the 20 feet of stone tunnel there was a heavy wooden and iron bound portcullis. After the group came out of the entrance they faced a row of houses closely packed together. To the right there is the aforementioned guard house, easily identified by a number of guards standing and sitting around it.

Guardhouse

Brianna turned to the right dismounting from shadowbane smoothly. and looped her raiens over the stallions neck. She nooded to the guards outside the guard house and stepped into the building itself. it contains one medium size about 15' by 30' room with a desk and chair in it as door behind that a stairs that lead up to the second floor and battlement just off to the left.

Brianna moved over to the desk leaving room for the others to enter behind her.

"Good evening, we have just arrived and have come here to register and peace bond out weapons. The man beyond the desk looked up and then up some more to take in the tall red=haired Amazon that stood well over his head even if he had been standing.
