Into the Vargolg

Aren't we planning on going deeper into the Vargolg? I say we take the smooth tunnel.

@Nomad: I know you can't reveal exactly where the natural tunnel goes, but does it lead deeper into the Vargolg? Or does it stick to near the outer cliff walls? Is the smooth tunnel the only one that goes deeper?

The same

Both tunnels basically go back into the ridge - further in and a little down.  It is more of a Y intersection.  The only real difference is the condition of the stone - worked or natural.

@Everyone

Worked stone, imo, might mean an increased chance of being inhabited because it's 'forged' stone if that makes sense. So I say take the natural one.

But inhabited means more chance of loot.    I am ok either way

I will follow your leads.

@Nomad After the long rest Uthal can now cast Darkvision, negating his need for a torch.

@Keeper

Yeah, but more loot could equal more danger. But I guess more battles also equal more EXP and more levelling up.

Dwarves should know

Wow, a use for dwarven stonecunning?

Gerdar - you can tell that the stonework down here is very old.  The work in the front portion of the Vargolg was also very old, but showed frequent sign of more recent habitation and occaisonal "touch up."  Nothing down here shows any indication of having been changed in many, many years.  Nor does it show much sign of usage - you find a total of one scratch that might be newed - meaning not hundreds of years old.  The natural passage shows no real sign of having been shaped.  Maybe a bit - but a long, long time ago.  Nor is there any sign of recent usage.  As you look down the natural tunnel there is no real support for the rock and the things are loose enough that you suggest caution.  Nothing in the area you can see looks like it will collapse, but "solidly built" is not a phrase you would use, even if it had ever actually been "built,"

Cast Detect Magic

As we can't seem to find it normally I'll cast Detect Magic.

What next?

I've been offering answers as people post - so what is next?

There were three natural tunnels you could head towards.

Hey, guys. Won't have internet for about a week starting this Sunday.

Nomad, if you need to take control of Thäoran while I'm gone, please do so.

Returning to the world of the living

Alright, I'm in a place where my mind can think again and will return to more regular posting.

I think it's clear we need to turn around and go through one of the other tunnels we passes. Any thoughts on which?
