Oh, carrap!
EmyBEAR, I honestly and sicerely apologize. All posts with that reference have been duly edited and the name corrected.
I have a character in another game (on another site) named Olafin Gu mybeard. Evidently when I typed the "mybear" part of your name, the fingers take over and type the last "d" automatically.
I am really, truly sorry. I meant no disrespect. It was an unnoticed typo.

Names etc...
Names are a little tough to remember in a new game (excluding the whole 'beard' issue ) so I'm not too bothered about typos etc. in that department.
That said, Isaac did refer to 'Keri' when I think he meant Neri.

I think that Isaac's plan is fine as it goes. But I have the feeling, out of character, that these zombies are just going to follow us, and that there may be more lurking in the mist.

dang, you guessed it!
It's aaafter miiiidnight...
Okay, let me clarify a couple of things:
1. Isaac and Neri killed their zombies. Syana and Meera (the wolf) attacked and injured one zombie (who in turn hurt the bard pretty badly), while Volkmar hit his own zombie (twice). So it's not one unstoppable zombie, it's two that just haven't yet taken enough punishment to fall (curse the dice).
2. You have the two zombies still essentially in the road, both damaged. All eight of the new zombies are in the woods, having come up behind you guys from the same direction you originally came. Three of these are now in melee range, the remainder will be in range this coming round.
3. Shianna can indeed attaempt to turn the new arrivals. The basic rule of thumb is that you get one shot to turn any given undead. Since these were not addressed in your last try, you may certainly try again.
If you guys *do* want to break through and run for it, I need some specific questions answered. Neri has stated a willingness to stand and cover your retreat (yay lawful stupid!). What if one or more of you fall in the attempt? Syana is hurt badly enough to require medical attention, and soon. What if she goes down?
Please do note that if you turn and run while engaged in melee, your foe gets a free shot at your back.

Wolfy
Rer already mentioned this, but it still appears like there might be some confusion: Meera is with Shianna, not Syana. Eh... picked names that were too similar.
Out of the compassion in Meera's heart she could have attacked the zombie on Syana, but she is offically traveling with Shianna.
So... Shianna has a wolf, and Syana doesn't really ever talk.
Alright, on with the show!

Zombies...
Sorry I misread the update. I only thought one of those still up had been wounded.
Neri's actions still stand. She'll try and kill off the one attacking Syana, before moving on to others.

um
Guys - I know who has the wolf. I had Meera the wolf acting in the best interests of her master (Shianna the cleric), which was to remove the closest threat - coincidence that it happened to be the same zombie that is engaged in combat with Syana, the silent bard.
But if you like, I can retcon the last section of combat, place Meera by Shianna, and remove the damage done by Meera to the zombie.
I'm not suggesting that Meera will always fight as a tandem pair with Syana. However, it is a wolf's instinct to protect not only her master, but the "pack", which Meera surely at least somewehat considers the party to be. Therefore, she will fight on her of her own free will unless Shianna commands her to do otherwise (and even then, she may still do as she sees fit).
So in summary, I am not confused. And you are looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Shianna and Syana are similar names, though, so I'm not surprised some people thought that you may be confused. I know I am (sometimes).

sure
I mean, I did have to look at my notes a couple of times.
But man, this is a strange group. "More monsters, please. Tougher monsters, please. Don't let the wolf help us, please." I mean, sheesh!

Twas just clarifying...
And not just for the DM, Hammer had Meera listed as Syana's companion in his last post if I read it correctly...
And perhaps I'm just getting everyone further confused now...
And yes please have the puppy helping Syana, never did complain about that. Just wanted everyone clear on the fact that Meera is a good puppy and helps out all of her companions but that Shianna is her partner.
I'm working on getting Syana out of the way now.

Woof !
1) .. Who knew my problem with names would cause such a ruckus?
2) .. Yes'm, I mneant Neri instead of Keri.
3) .. Meera (wolf) is with Shianna (priest), not Syana (bard). Was just helping Syaha in the best interest of the party. (More of a grasp of the abstract than some people I know ...)
4) .. I also (for some reason) visualized the wolf, Volkmar, and Syanna attacking the same critter. But no, don change a thing in the write-up. Just a matter of altering visual(s). And actually, that new outlook makes things a little better for us, in the long run, I think. So "maybeee meez-a be staying put, now"
5) .. The point about showing our collective back is well taken, but seeing that there are two injured instead of one, the chances of eliminating them soon is much greater, it just means a change in tactics (which I won't metagame by mentioning here).
.. Please, no more bating the DM about undead. I would like to survive this game without having to create more than one character to do so. But then again, the Dice Gods hold sway ...
