awesome

I'm glad I have enthusiasm from you guys at least.

It seems we've lost Eol. Yana and Hammer have disappeared. Yana messaged me a few weeks ago that she's interested in continuing, but I don't know if she has the time. I haven't heard from her since then.
Vesper has been online a few weeks ago as well to tell me he would like to pick up a character, but hasn't been on since.
The two replacements I found, Luthor and Keeper of Dragons haven't posted yet.

I don't know what to do. Should I find more replacements? Continue with three players?

Input please.

3 is not a crowd

I don't think continuing with just three persons does make a lot of sense..? I'd say it's better to try and find some more players

I agree with the above opinion...

Three players and a DM works well for a tabletop game... but not so much for online. I suggest we find some replacements. However, I am okay to continue, if that is the consensus made.

A quick recap

A quick summary of what's gone on and what the characters know so far would also be most helpful... for old and new both, I suspect.

Thanks Almerin! You rock, man!

Good Idea

Alright... an update on what's happening, and what has happened:

I've contacted Dragonblood, who will gladly join us sometime soon.
As you can see, Ayrn is also back to play, so it seems that we will be able to continue.

The story so far:
The wedding-festivities that you all attended were cut short by the appearance of a young child with bloody bruises and acidic burns. Parents in the room now discovered that their children were missing and started to panic.

Search parties were formed and sent into the Mushroom Forest, where the children were headed. Your group has found the children's tracks and followed them deeper into the forest, ending in what seems to be a struggle.

Then the tracks multiplied; intensified. And at the same time the distinct smell of surfacing mould reached their nostrils as if they were in an old basement. Some of them knew from experience that the smell would only get stronger if they went deeper into the sea of mushrooms.

The intensification of the tracks gave every indication of a struggle. The ground was upturned, mushrooms knocked over, and surrounding the scene of the fight were dozens of little dents in the loose earth. It was like somebody had poked small holes into the sand with a finger or a thin spear. A series of these tracks lead away from the fight.

The dented tracks were their only lead, and so they followed these as well. Though they went deeper into the forest who or whatever had created them was staying on the pathway formed by visitors and unseen creatures.
With their noses on the ground, the high caps with long gills seemed to loom over them even more. It was as if they were alone in a grizzly, alien cavern in the deepest of layers of the Abyss. Insects buzzed at times, and the mushrooms around them seemed to whisper infectious lies of disorientation. This forest might have been a part of their kingdom, but it surely wasn’t their home terrain. Even Hammer and Niaou’li, who both were very close to nature, though each in their own way, felt a certain hostility in the air.

Suddenly a loud scream sounded from the other side of a thick patch of mushrooms. It was a female Khordaldrum voice, filled with fright. Another scream followed, but was instantly cut short. They could vaguely see a light moving fast in the distance, like somebody running with a torch, but it was just for a few seconds. Then it faded away behind many thick stems and broad hoods. Something was going on, and now they had a choice to make.

So, Ayrn, you are free to start posting right now. We'll rule that you were with the search party since the beginning. I have other plans for Dragonblood's character.

I'm still wondering what to do with the players that disappeared. I think I'll have them wonder off in another direction, so that they can return later should they become active again.

Good idea, part II

I think sending the NPC PCs off down another path is a good one!

Looking forward to this game!

My Apologies

Glad to report that I am in good health, but some circumstances that I have had to deal with in my personal life has caused my absence from the Inn.

Have no idea when I will be able to return and therefore I must regrettably abandon this adventure.

My Apologies to Almerin and my fellow gamers!

Running through the mushroom forest

ALMERIN: Can we move through the mushroom forest towards the screams without hacking the mushrooms or can we maneuver through them with out cutting them down?

Another question...

Can I cast a light spell, centered on where we saw the figure darting away? Would Berodin be able to judge the distance accurately and have a clear sight line?

My idea is to cast the light spell to where we saw the torch light so that we can follow it and not get lost in the mushroom forest. Is this possible?

Hi

Do you have room for a new player?

I'd be interested in joining if you do have room. I've got a character ready for submission.

YES!!! Questions to Answer

Ayrn: you can move through the mushrooms without hacking, but your normal movement. The thing is that you cannot hurry there.
Your light spell could be targeted vaguely to where the scream was coming from (and where the light was moving), as a beacon to go by.

Good thinking!

Loki: I was going to reply to the recruitment thread, but here is just as good: yes, you are most welcome, and your big-axe-wielding-Khord is too.
Send me a PM with the details and we'll go through it.

I'll post up tonight then

...I got some errands to run.

I also noticed that when I updated my sheet apparently I deleted my part of my equipment list. I'll try to repair that later... unless you've got the info saved somewhere else, Almerin?

Thanks!
Ayrn

khord khord away!

Well hello everybody! I hope I'm not taking too many liberties in posting here but I've just finished the first draft of Odin Foxblade's character sheet and fired it off to Almerin. I'm awaiting approval now but I thought I'd sneak into this thread and say hello to all my fellow players. Speaking of, I'm not exactly sure who's still in this game and who's dropped off as I've not quite caught up on the Q/A yet, so hello to whoever you are! Basically however I just wanted to tell y'all that this khord's all saddled up and ready to go!
