My turn
It seems it's my turn to be under heavy work load this week. I'm hoping to get through it by the end of the week, but can't make any promises. So I'm sorry for any delays it may cause.

So...
what's up here, people?
I have failed to update yet... I see everyone else has too.
Is this the "hard" part of PbP RPGs? Normally, around the table the players would look at one another and someone would say, "So... how are we going to play this?" And then we'd come up with a plan.
Would it be better for one of us to be considered the "leader" of the group to make executive decisions about what we're doing when we're not in the middle of an encounter in order to help speed things along?
I'm not really looking for the above role, but I will take it if it means keeping the game going.
Is there another way? Just post our intentions/ideas here on the Q/A Board for discussion?
Here's my ideas for getting in:
1) You three pretend your sailors of some ship (we listen in to find out a name of one) and my character plays the part of your wench. We find a bar/inn in town and bunker down, review what we know about the various targets and make a plan.
2) We all pretend to be mercenaries looking for work in Greyhawk. Continue with the second half of #1.
3) We approach the gate separately, with different reasons for coming into Greyhawk. (Mercenary, Sailor, Candlestick Maker, etc) And then continue with the second part of #1.
How would you boys like to approach the gates?
Gboy, I will post tomorrow night regardless.

Grr... sorry
Sorry, Gboy... I've been trying to carve out some time to post but I've had demands at home (sick baby for starters)... oh look... she's fussing again...
Don't get me wrong... I love her.... I just hate ear infections!
Will try to post tomorrow. Would love to hear a reply from the rest of the gang regarding the ideas above, though.

Hyup
Not given up on the game, not at all. Don't worry. Just been busy as hell.
As for getting in, I'd imagine Danamar would choose an easier way and climb over the wall. Shouldn't be too difficult for someone like him. But using a disguise and going through the gate is fine too. That's what the Hat of Disguise is for anyway.

Alright, status check...
Okay you guys, time for a check in... It's been two weeks with nothing, I'm wondering if you're all still out there.
Is the post too open ended, or has everyone just been busy the past while? Let me know, I'm looking forward to seeing you guys go through this game, I'm hoping it'll be fun.

Sorry about not posting in a bit
Sorry I havn't posted lately, I'll get something in soonishly, I'll probably just cast invisiblity and walk past the guards to get inside the city, and then meet up in an inn as mentioned.
(Just curious the info they're writing about us, is it like a intercity passport we need that we'll be given, or just something they keep to themselves?)

Hi
To be honest, I'm a bit at loss in here. I remember reading that we were supposed to mention a section of the city where the character was from in the background. Now it seems to me that we don't know the city that well. That we'd need to find a way to get in would imply that we do not live in Greyhawk. I'd imagine permanent residents would have no problems getting in?
Also since we don't have a leader and only have been told to kill off the council in a short period, I don't know how to proceed really. To me it would be nigh impossible to carry out the mission unless we were to assassinate everyone at once. Then again spreading out would kill the game too. You'd have four little games running simultaneously inside one game should we divide our group.
Then again having four professional assassins stalking the targets one at a time would seem overkill and not something real pros would like to do. Call it professional pride or something, but Danamar would feel foolish to carry along three other guys. Also, we know next to nothing of each other's skills and abilities. At least not enough to properly plan a strike. That can be fixed ofc with a few rounds of conversation.
Now, I don't mean to sound like I wish to quit the game. I love the idea of playing in an all assassin game, but I feel we need some help here.

I have an idea...
We could instead of all going in our seperate ways, work in pairs on each assassination, using our own special abilities in tandem to help, and switch up the pairs when we meet every so often. The different pairs will be the ones best siuted to use their skills to kill certain marks, and it will give us an in-game reason not to split up on our own for each kill, so it doesn't feel like four seperate games, will give us a chance to play with everyone else in the group, and give us better odds on killing our targets then we would have individually.
Thats just an idea, but I think it's a good one to help us work together, and we can just talk a bit in character to determine, who our first marks will be and who we're going to be working with. Oh, and I thought that for order of kills we should kill the king last, and all work together on that one, becuase it'll probably be the toughest, and should thusly be done last.
Any thoughts our ideas on that suggestion?

*nods*
That's about what I was thinking, too, Speed... get the group to a tavern or somesuch (out of the way cellar in an abandoned house, whatever) where we can establish a "base of ops" within the city, have them go over the list of targets, evaluate and prioritize, and then split up the list as appropriate... Teams of two... all four of them... one assassin, one target... just depending on how everything balances out, right? So, our best place to start is likely going to be finding our group a 'hidey hole', let them get to know one another (at least as far as skills and capabilities go), and then make determinations on the marks once that's locked down.

The issue of living and getting in...
Raven, I wanted to give each player a chance to be from a certain part in the city. This is true, and permanent residents don't have a problem getting in, no matter how old or young, or what their profession is. However, as I'm sure you could imagine from RL as well, someone such as an assassin (or well known murderer) isn't necessarily a welcome citizen.
I apologize I didn't make this clearer. That being said, your knowledge of the part of the city is still pretty deep. Chances are though if the guards recognized you, they'd put a near constant watch on you.
But then again, I guess that's why we have the Q&A thread, for these kinds of things to be resolved. I'm always here to answer questions.

No problem. That's all I was after, gboy. Now that we've got a plan, let's start posting it. I'll try to get my entrance posted tomorrow. Try to.

Inundated with work and other RL nonsense...
...but still here in some fashion. Slowly clawing my way out of the mire, though, and with any luck will be able to manage a post soon.
