Depends on...
...whether Zerowulf would like to launch it or not, as de facto GM :p

That depends.
Did you want to go on your adventure or my little side quest first. if so then we will get things rocking and rolling really soon.
Also it doesnt seem wise to annoy a thief you might end up a little bit lighter

qsdf
I have no particular preference. Though if you start it, I may have to take the reins briefly at some point to do some foreshadowing

Well
I think we're onto a new day at the Lute, if I'm not mistaken. Celeste, would you like to write up a new post, or should I or someone else do the honours?

New Day
Arwen, Salvator, I didn't include your characters in the description since you can handle that yourselves.

Heh
No probs It's cool and all that we revitalised the Lute, but if those players go off into an adventure, then it dies again ^^
Stupid HTML doesn't seem to understand the word "centre". Huh. Silly American formatting, misspelling such an easy word

Well now...
...things are gettin' down right conspiratorial-lookin', aren't they?
Hehehehe....
I'll see what I can do about mustering a post by the end of the evening... Failing that, look for an update from the mad Mith'ganni at some point tomorrow.

Frakking Gnomes,...
Alester is a Bastard flavored bastard deep fried in bastard sauce...
I personally think that this could turn into a very fun encounter,...

Well, yeah!
Most definitely a fun encounter... and who knows what else might come out of it, yes?
Edit: Also, just in case everyone isn't aware, Nyx is not of the winged Twilight Elf race as described in the "standard 3.5e" subspecies of elves. Rather, the Mith'ganni (most commonly refered to as Twilight Elves) are a race originally created by our illustrious Innmate Tek and modified by myself to fit into a world "outside" of the one Tek had them in. They're basically a very old and now very small race of nomadic elves with a society/culture not unlike that of the Plains Indians and Mongols. Kind of a dying race, really, and not often seen outside the bounds of their own lands... if anyone needs more info, just let me know and I'll point you in the right direction... AAAAAAAAnd, if you haven't yet seen him and are curious as to what Nyx looks like, you can find one of my better renditions here.

Twilight elves
When I mentioned it in my post, I assumed Nyx was of the nomadic Mith'ganni that I found listed here on RDI. An interesting race.

Yep...
...that's pretty much the basis. Minor differences where my version of the Mith'ganni are concerned... Names of countries and such (my Mith'ganni hail from a region called Shanurdir, for instance)... have detailed notes on the remaining clans, etc, scrawled out and saved, blah, blah, blah. All done to put some depth and flavor into The Fates of Fortune and related tales in which I've used ol' Nyx.

Thanks, Arch...
...I have a soft spot in my black little heart for the guy, myself.
I'm getting a "Gandalf the White" kind of visual/vibe where your character is concerned, btw... I'm guessing that's not too far off?
Also, as a little RP fodder for the rest of you where Nyx is concerned... There, of course, is more than one moniker attached to moon-eyed Mith'ganni and, dependent on how widely travelled your characters might be and/or what they "might have heard," (or dependent on what less than savory circles they might rotate through) you may recognize him as any of the following:
- The Last of the Jolbanie or The Kinslayer (if you happen to have passed thru Shanurdir and/or had any dealings with Twilighters from that area).
- The Devil of Labaram
- The Edge of Prien's Axe
- The Shyndyn
- The Assassin Prince of Drasnia
- Etellenya's Emissary or The Wharf Witch's Pet (if you visited seedier parts of Drasnia following the events of Fates, in which Nyx "usurps leadership" of the Hellkite Syndicate there and hands it over to his love Cayrimsa)
- The Steppe Son (if you've ever met a certain elven seamstress in Drasnia that goes by "Dreamweaver")
Anyhoo... up to you how much you may know or have heard if you determine that your character has some knowledge of and/or recognizes the mith'ganni, somehow. If you want/need any other fodder to roll with that kind of thing, feel free to PM me.

The Man in White
Well my character would look a lot like Gandalf The White or perhaps more like Saruman the White, just his beard and hair are even longer and stretch down past his knees. His staff if made from some golden wood and his whole demeanor has a more 'Natural' feel to it; if you know what I mean.
Being who he is, he does know of Nyx's people, since they are nomads and elves, but he wouldnt know your character himself. His reaction at seeing Nyx is just his mild surprise at seeing one of the rare breed being there in that Inn.
