Rookie eyes

Well, If it's a tunnel, I would think it cant go that far, we are still in a town. Are there catacombs nearby, or some sort of cave system? I think if it does turn out to be a tunnel, we should proceed very carefully, as we have no clue if it is a trap, or where the tunnel leads. Peryl is still getting herself together, and adjusting to her surroundings, she finds different traits of each character endearing, Amariel is an elf, she will gravitate to her, good news is she has lots of armor and a big sword too, so Peryl feels a little safer near her. Peryl is a woodsy herbal type and also finds Willow a natural like. The others She will warm up to as the story progresses, and she gets to know them better. As far as direction, Peryl is in follower mode, she is uncertain of what to do and where to go, she will look to others for this leadership. She will not suggest anything that might harm another party member, (like "I think we should attack") that being said, she is also naive and inexperienced as well as very curious so she may condone action that she will later say why did I do that.

hmm...

Revlan is, as Hammer displayed, impulsive.... s

So he'll likely move towards the box, though I have a few reactions (thoughts; not like a freak-out panic-attack thing) to the fact there is a wolf in the room behind him... Will update this weekend

-T_O

EDIT: There we go. Hope it helps.

all...

of our characters (except revelan) have had a life of solitude or disipline causing them to perhaps be a bit cautious and untrusting. we may not be the most heroic looking people, but im sure we can get the job done. besides theres so many possible hideing places in a room full of crates and barrels.

ahaha

In no way am/was I implying that anyones actions were a bad idea, simply settling into character. Revlan is very carefree and impulsive. He can be serious, when he has too, but so far as he can tell there is nothing to worry about.

And again, Vord (the first one to descend down the stairwell) is huge; a whopping 3ft taller than Revlan. As far as the little guy is concerned, Vord will scare/has scared the daylights outta people.

Luckily he's on our side,

EDIT: Also note the potential foreshadowing in my final statement; In the future Revlan may see the thought become a reality and learn from the caution of the others... ahaha

working out the kinks

Hey T-O I liked your post, some nice back story there. Just wanted to say that I'm not pushing the story line too much as I'm a rookie, as well as Peryl... I assume that will change as this progresses.

The Game is Afoot

The tunnel is dimly lit and about 30 foot long to where the bend to the left leads to ..... ?????

My apologies for having taken so long to get things jump started again!

By the way, the areas to the right and the left of the cavernous tunnel are shadowed and not clearly defined as to what (if anything) is hidden in the shadows.

There is enough room overhead for everyone to stand up and walk the length of the tunnel to the bend to the left, but no guarantees as to how much head room there is beyond the bend where their quarry has disappeared from view!

You will probably have to break out some of the wall for Vord and Qempar to squeeze through into the cavern!

The air is quite breathable, not too dank or wet or musty!

That should give you enough info to proceed and decide what you want to do from here!

*Coughs*

So.... you all are aware that I must, instinctively, run down the hallway after our marks, yes?

Just a reminder.

I have weapons, although I should double check my exact gear list before I choose what to draw in the dark tunnel (I do believe I'm the last to draw a weapon, save maybe the druid, aha, and I'm the fighter); the point is, it wouldn't hurt if I scouted ahead.

Any thoughts before I spin up a post?

Silence is...

well, assumed to mean RL is in full force.

I shall proceed with the plan of the impatient halfling within the next few days.

If anyone has direct objections/ wants to prevent Revlan from running off alone, I encourage reactionary posting.

Lets do this! Yarr!

Hi All yup RL has been brutal, but this tunnel and celar has been in the back of my mind. Peryl will obviously not charge down the tunnel after and of the intrepid others, at least not with out a moment of hesitation. She will be able to see somewhat better as her elvish vision should provide her with a little bonus. I think she will also wonder if there is a way to come back once the tunnel is traversed...and who the sack carrying shapers are, as they dont seem to want to chat.

*edit* So as I was writing the post... I thought about a light cantrip type spell... All the C&C info i have (which is limited) indicates Peryl should have a "level 0" light spell.. If I'm not mistaken, it should be a cast any time type thing... I took a chance and put it in the post.
