Agreed...
...Trek Tools is one of the coolest add-ons to the Inn. I remember when it was first tacked up (back in the Discovery days) and I just lost myself in it for like a week!
Fantastic job updating the scripts and such, too, Boss! I know it's not a "visible" thing for most of us but, I'm sure, everyone from the newest newbie to us venerable geezer types appreciate every little tweak! Kudos to Youdos!

Calling all Innmates!
We could use an OPS chief PC to fill out the Department Head slots, folks. Surely there's at least one more somebody interested in coming aboard and filling the position?
*le bump*

yep
We need an Ops chief pretty bad. We can roll with an NPC, but I prefer a breathing person.
I've had one Innmate PM me some casual interest, but they have so far resisted my active recruitment. :/

Just tacked a post up...
...on the Friends of the Red Dragon Inn FB page, as well. Might as well fish from two shores at once, eh?

I may also toss out another reddit LFG post. It reeled in our Chief Science Officer, after all...

Ops chief?
What's needed for the ops chief? If you can't find anyone I can definitely fill in a position. I"m just hesitant because I don't really know star trek

(No, I'm not a perv; go watch some Ren & Stimpy-hehe)
Looking forward to getting things off the ground. My character is done and in the roster, and I await liftoff.

ops
Chief of Operations is a bridge crew character - one of the main characters in the game.
Have you ever watched Star Trek: the Next Generation? Commander Data was the Ops Chief of the Enterprise.
Operations is responsible for ship status, for coordinating with engineering, science, and tactical. They handle most communications, they make sure the ship is supplied... heck, the Ops Chief is nominally in charge of the cafeteria. lol

Roster still wonky
Catt, just FYI, I am logged in to the Inn, but am still unable to add or edit a character for the Peregrine. Tried to edit mine, as I forgot to add the Starfleet Qualifications section, kicked me out, said I had to be logged in.
Is there a different login for the Trek Tools that I am unaware of?

Hey there, Impulse!
Honestly, no "strong knowledge" of Trek is necessary (us resident trek-geeks are always happy to hold your hand and skip with you through the asteroids field where that's concerned). As to what's needed for the Ops Chief; here's a brief summary of the position per Memory Alpha:
The operations officer, also referred to as the operations management officer, was a Starfleet position within the operations division which was common in the 24th century. Operations officers manned the ops station on a bridge.
On the starship USS Enterprise-D, Lieutenant Commander Data served as the operations management officer and doubled as Second Officer, the most senior member of the ship's crew after the Captain and First Officer. On the starship USS Voyager, Operations Officer Ensign Harry Kim was the most junior bridge officer
As analytical operations relied upon knowledge of science and engineering disciplines, operations officers often performed the additional duties of a science officer, especially when a dedicated science officer was absent.
If you're interested, as I said, feel free to get in touch with myself or Olan and we'll be happy to help you "settle in."

Niftilicious!
I think we may have just sweet-talked Impulse into our Ops Chief position!

figured it out...
The Trek Tools don't allow you guys to add/edit roster entries for a very good reason:
I haven't yet set the game thread and the authorized players. Whoops. This is not a bug, it's a feature. We have had no players come in and add and edit people before, so to prevent that, security is set up.
Let me make an intro post to the game, and I'll authorize everyone; that will give you the ability to add to/edit the roster for our game.

Y'know...
...that never even occurred to me but it should have!
That said... "Post! Post! Post! I'm all giddy over here!"
Edit: Penciled Impulse in as our Ops Chief in the first post of this thread, Boss man!

yeah, no
I will not be playing in this round of Star Trek. Avanti, Bob and Tier are sitting this one out. As much as I love to write for the three of them, I do not have the time. I am currently working on a gladiatorial combat game designed to play as an online PBP but with a Board game feel.
