post soon...
I'll be posting soon. Please let me point out that the lighthouse is stone. The wooden structure is the tower the pirates have constructed.
No danger of the pirates burning you alive inside the lighthouse!

Thx Tann and Brianna
I get a few minutes in the morning when I am up before William to have a bit of coffee and breakfast...so I can check my threads and maybe post a comment or two, but writing a full out game post takes more time than I have at this stage of William's adjustment to "being on the outside".

Intentions
Ena knows they should properly lay the bodies to rest, but the pirates must be dealt with first. Since we don't have a ranger, Ena will suggest herself for scouting the pirate tower, being attired in the most "camo" like and quiet armour (brown leather armour). If the others wish to deal with the bodies while she scouts out the pirate's den, she'd be fine with that.
Sorry i can't work up a full post, but Will is having a fussy morning.

Intentions
I kknow Varuna will require that he buy the bodies even if no one else can help. He has to begin atoning for his behavior to his Goddess. Of course he will welcome help as well.
He is distressed at his near vow breaking and so he will let the others decide the party's course of action while he is a bit lost in contemplation.
Side note: As for the newborn, Congrats Van and Al, it has been so long since my kids were that little I almost forget how much fun they are at that age, and how much work. Enjoy them, they grow up fast.

Hard to post these days
The baby demands much of my time during the day, so the energy to come up with a post just isn"t there by the time the evening comes.
I'll take my Q&A post and copy to the game post so that my fellow players can write their own posts in response.

groovin!
Posting now.
BTW, I see a suggestion in the game thread about enlisting the aid of the lizard folk. If that's something you guys want to persue, you need to elaborate a bit on how you might plan to do so.
For now, I'm having En'Aranthea do her scouting. You guys can choose what to do from there.

a question or two
Thanks for the post, there was lots of detail. Of course, I want more, though You specifically mention two men with crossbows... is one of them the fellow who eluded us, or is he unaccounted for? How are the others armed, if they are indeed armed? (trying to get an idea of the number of missile weapons versus melee). Are any of them wearing armour?
Lastly, I take it the tower is in full view of the camp itself? No way to sabotage it without being seen?

details, details!
Happy to give more!
You do not recognize either of the crossbow-wielding pirates. Granted, you did not get a great look at the pirate who got away, but none of the eight present look familiar to you.
Aside from the two guards (who also carry blades), none of the pirates appear to be wearing armor. Everyone save the cook has at least a cutlass in their belt; there are several obvious dagger hilts and such, as well.
The tower is in plain view of the camp, and is set out on the open beach. It would be impossible to approach it without being seen.

hmmm
A lot of discussion here - this is good.
LEt me know what the final plan of action is. Try to recruit lizardfolk, yes/no? Use magic in an attack? Try to talk to the pirates? Leave immediately?
