Kaelyn
Thondrek can find a masterwork Waraxe WITH the stone in it for 2330 GP.
Masterwork only adds bonus to att, right?
Also added to sheet: 50' silk rope, Pitons (4?) and a Climber's Kit. Then you're money's about done. If you want feather fall scrolls it needs to be paid for with group money.
Brianna: Geim can find his 2 potions of Fly for 1500, 2x Cure Critical for 2200, and I don't know how much Antitoxin costs... I know Remove Disease is 750, but I don't think that's what you mean.
In any case, that is much more money than Geim has, so you'll have to make a choice.
On another note, he also cannot find a temple for Kharox there, for the Syls there do not worship him as do Khords.
Also: I took 3 Pearls from the group's cash to identify Wolf's items and for Elessarae using game terms IC to describe to her companions what the items do.

cool
Yep Masterwork is just plus one attack: so Thondrek's now equipped with the masterwork Dwarven Waraxe with an attack of +9 (BAB 6 +2 Strength +1 MW) and a +10 when making his arcane channeling abiities due to the crystal.
As for finding the underground thing, I suppose trailing the goblins is one option, though I'd hate to get stuck fighting an entire swarm of them.
(Can I cast a couple fireball scrolls down into the valley for some free EXperience Thondrek needs to catch up haha)
anywho, um yeah I'm open to other's opinions.

honesty
Guys, I'm going to be honest with you all:
I'm losing interest in this game.
Part of the fun of being a DM is to see enthusiastic reactions from the players. I don't see that anymore for this game. Everybody posts on Friday-evening, like it's a mandatory thing instead of a game you want to post to. Don't take me wrong: there is nothing wrong with posting last minute, but I remember other times when there would be several posts on Monday already. It just shows that people are not as much connected to the game as they used to.
And I understand that completely. It has been a long adventure already, and we didn't even get close to the original goal of the game. This whole prelude was perhaps too long, and players (and characters) are starting to forget what they were doing it for. Of course this would be reality as well, but we're not really going to get a lot of money after this adventure, our characters are. Perhaps the reward that triggered your interest has been compromised? Perhaps the game is not as interesting as it once was?
I'd like for you guys to comment on this. And I want you all to be truthful. I don't want players to feel obligated to post. I want them to WANT to post.
We've pretty much lost two extra players: Jozan hasn't been very active lately, and Cdn probably forgot she was a part of this group.
Please understand: this is not a wake up call. This is a 'how can we revive our interest' call. We have a good group of players, we have an (in my opinion) interesting adventure, so what is wrong?
I don't want to give up this game after all this time, but seeing how slow it has been going lately, we have to find a way to improve things.
Let me start:
I would like for the players to interact more. Doesn't have to be IC interaction, but at least converse about the events that are happening. Not in this specific combat, because I asked you not to. But as an example: Kaelyn posted a Q/A about how to descend the mountain and approach the goblins; nobody replied. That means that -I- have to make up your actions, and I don't want to play for you. This is not the first time I've told you that.
If we agree that it's not going well than there's always the option of restarting the scenario, but in a different way: people could make new characters or keep their old ones. We can say that Guland sent a new group, and we can pick up the adventure where we left off, but with a new impulse. The new group could find whichever characters 'survived', or something like that. But that's just one of the options.
Please speak your minds freely.

my mind
In this particular case, I've been so flooded with work and illness I'd been hoping to wait for an opportune moment to post, in fact I posted last night from the hospital I was forced into (which takes alot considering my hatred and fear of the places) But that's neither here nor there. I knew what Thondrek was going to do, and other people's actions weren't likely to affect it, but I didn't want to post I fireball the group if everyone else posted we run and charge y'know?
I enjoy playing Thondrek, heck the tree battle made him seem really heroic and though he wasn't my original character, I've come to make him my own, and I thuroughly enjoy the game, adventure, you're writing, and the others who participate.
I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm still here for the long haul, (havn't checked the actual thread yet for an update or not) but every saturday morning I get home from work (or in this case the hospital) and your game is the first thing I read over breakfast, it's become part of my weekly routine. So don't give up on me or Thondrek, we're still here and interested as ever.
I do know that alot of other games have fallen silent, died off or their DM's have just sorta disappeared lol. It may well be that the apathy from having only one or two active games have crept across into those games as well for people, I'm not sure, but if I as a player can try and keep the interest level higher by posting sooner again (like I used to almost always be the first poster lol) then I will try.

Well, I don't want to give up on it either. I know I don't have the best track record for posting in the inn but I do still want to play. I am getting my own computer tomorrow so hopefully that will give me a boost in posting times.

Brianna, Geim and the Game
Congratulations on your own computer it should make a big difference. NOw for me I picked up Geim, since he was the only character available just to join the game. DM had such fun posting to Almerin's creative posts. She would read them to me and then let me read her responses. So when Geim ws available I jumped at the chance. I have not regretted it at all.
NOt that I ever played a male or let alone a dwarf. Well that staunch, old dwarf is mine now and I do enjoy playing him and figuring out how he would respond to what is going on. He has got problems but he is working on them. I, the player, certainly don't want the story to end, that is for sure.
I do agree with you Almerin that it would be nice to have more interaction. We had some good ones going in the creepy woods, and the aftermath, and later in the village. and I know that such high level posting can't always be kept but it has been slow lately. I missed one week and was late last week too, but I will keep my end up as high as possible.
So I would like this game to continue and I will make sure I interact more with my comrades adn the newcomer to our group as well. Question is Loda gone? Geim had something started their and she seemed to have disappeared.
Please keep this game going though I know it is going to take we players to make sure it goes.

Gads! Keep Going!
I for one do not want to lose this game, it is so rich in character development and Almerin's narratives are the best.
Since Elessarae joined the main group, I was purposefully having her keep to herself, as a part of the secret mission she was sent on and do to the newness of the group.
More interaction is good. I started out playing with myself and Almerin, so there was not much conversation except when I got someplace or ran into situations. Maybe this is a good time to bring in some new blood. There could be others here scouting out the Goblins and such, or going into the Chakran Mts, for fun and profit, they could be survivors of a group that went into the mountains for whatever reason.
Please! Please, keep this game going!

Don't forget Al I have unfinished business with a certain Bladesinger................

okie then
Thanks guys, for the kind words and the positive reactions. It would be my pleasure to continue this adventure with you all, if we can do so with revived interest.
Now as a possibility, I will allow any of you who want to make a new character the option to do so, except for Draven. He has something going on that is important for the adventure.
All the other players can post a concept of something IF they wish to trade characters. Don't make a whole character yet, because I might not agree with everything that you come up with.

there it is
It took me a while to find the time to sit down and update, but there it is. Not what I had expected, but things turned out to go differently than I had anticipated. Still... you're in for something interesting.

Sorry guys!
obviously my medicated self mis read the distance between up and the main camp and misjudged the ogres reaction. But i'm looking forward to dealing with the consequences just the same!

Ideas from my fertile Imagingation.
Anyone have a nice bomb or two we can drop down on the goblin army below. Oops! wrong genre
Now, more in character, it is too bad no one is an illusionist all we need is a nice red dragon flying overhead to esplain the burning goblins.
