And np, that was more of an FYI just in case, I'll add it to my post.

Rer: what'll we see with the doors open?

...I left it rather ambiguous as to the actual state of the doors, given Rer's last post. They're certainly damaged, buckled, and possibly singed, but I didn't want to go as far as to say they'd actually come open just in case the Butterfly had something in mind that depended on them somehow remaining "barred."

Also - I hope Mosic saved a spell or two for healing purposes. Kitty's got boo-boos and Kith's shoulder might need some attention, as well.

Mosic has 6 spells left, 2 1st, 2nd, and 3rds  I was thinking that too, reading about the burning kitty cat  

And yeah, I got that about the doors as well. I was planning on ending the little post I'm starting with us finally getting the door open and seeing whatever we see e.g. Aranwen alone, Ara gone, some form of Morgana, etc.

Without the skespider to be the distraction for the Kith-doll to back stab people, that doll and the Ch-doll will hide in the shelving. The white dress doll gathers what blood it can before likewise fleeing for cover.

Needless to say, Morgana is unhappy at that outcome... But not surprised

When Kithran has the door open, she sees Aranwen facing a very solid looking shade manifested from the Sae-doll, Aranwen's blade raised and ready but not in motion. From the movement of the lips on her mask, Morgana had just finished speaking. 

Oooo, okay, I was just writing the Kith-doll having leapt out of the books to attack, but I'll nix that for now. Kith is pretty distracted, and will just assume the dolls were convenienctly smooshed when the skespider splattered into the door.

Ch'doll

Without her mannequins present, her actual combat ability is sparse. She might have cast Web to snare Ch'dau and Kithran in the fight if she had the opportunity, and had some other spells, but aside her spell casting, she has to attack via shade otherwise because that's almost the extent of direct combat with these felt dolls...

There is more she could have done, but she isn't committed to put full effort into a fruitless gesture as she knew attempting to keep her deal with Adedre would likely turn out to be. She still had to try, though. 

Don't worry Ara, Kith's gotcha! I mean, unless someone finds that book . . . anyone? Anyone?!

Also, Mosic is down one more 2nd level spell.

1st level: 2
2nd level: 1
3rd level: 2

And cantrips all DAY!

I'd forgotten about that.

We might have another floor... or two... to go before our kibibi finds that particular tome.

Oh dang, I thought we got to the study she was looking for on the third floor. Haha damn it, if we weren't there, then she wouldn't give af about those books and would have been helping out all along.

Also, the poor red-dress doll (I'm sure it's not white any more)  it was innocent

I think it's just right as is, it's not as if Kithran is guaranteed to know the book is in that particular place at this particular time so scared by suddenly fire seems appropriate  

The red-dress doll collects blood to make evil replicas of us, and it's innocent?
Meanwhile I collab on one creepy brainwash torture love story and I'm no longer a pure pure pure pure angel child?

P.S. Where exactly in the manor are we? I need to revise some things.

Innocent insofar as all it did was dance along the floor and didn't attack either Kithran or Ch'dau  

...but we're only on the second floor, at this point, right? And, I kind of think I mentioned at some point that the book Kith was looking for was going to be found in the "turret room" where Adedre originally summoned Morgana, yes?

Soooo... we need to go up another level, find Adedre's chambers (and the door to the turret), then get into the room itself if Kithy wants that book. Assuming we don't burn the place to the ground before we get there.

Unless there are any objections or proposed adjustments, of course. That's just kind of the way I envisioned things going down... I'm open to revamping... when I originally considered where the grimoire might be, I hadn't given much thought to the role Morgana might play in all of it, sooooooo... *shrugs* ... Discuss?

...I kind of thought we were on the second floor, just up the hallway from where Ch'dau and Kithran made their dramatic "window exit." They'd made it to the third floor, originally, but were almost immediately chased back down to 2 when the bone-spider first appeared.

I don't think you need to revise much if anything, tbh, but, as I said... I could be misplaced, my own self... Plus the smell of burnt kazari has me thrown off a tad.
