I think Elessarae is forgetting the true nature of her quest. The Sylvari know that goblins are stirring and up to something. She was to find out what exactly is going to happen. Running back to a castle will not do much but delay your adventure.

.

I think we are going to just try to take on as many as we can, then demoralize the rest of them so they break and flee, causing panic and such. Like in real battles during the medieval eras battles were not fought to the death, many soldiers break and ran because of moral.

Stuff

I had thought for previous posts the there were thousands of golbins all about the valley. To Elessarae they are the vanguard of a possible invasion force. One major reason to running back to tell the Sylvari, and for another, this way is no longer a viable way into the valley, assuming this is where we have to go. I am not sure that anyone knows where we are going, or has an idea of where we are to search for information on the Dwarves that once lived here. If so we will have to leave this area and find one not infested with goblins.

I am thinking that the powers that be have been doing something to put a watch on the bordersof the Chakran Mts for goblin incursions. Maybe we can find a border watcher and then go round another way to get into the Mts without having to face thousandds of goblins.

hmmm

Well, whatever you guys decide, I need to know tomorrow, so I can update.

You don't know of any border patrol, but then there is lots of stuff that you don't know about that is going on in Sylvaria.

As for finding information on the dead Chakrandrum:
How you want to go about and finding information is up to you guys. I say scouting the area for one of the entrances of the underground city/cities is most likely your best option. Unless you can find out exactly where you need to be.
I do need to know how you will all go about, because leaving things in the middle will keep you stuck with nothing.

awsome, its a switch back path leading to the grassy plain. I say we hold them off where the plain meets the path, and devastate them from above. It will be easy to roll good sized rocks and tele hop larger ones down on them.

oh and by the way, thats a kick ass map!

Okay I have several question

about how far are we above the anyone floor, do we see signs of hundreds of thousands of goblins. How long even at the speed they re traveling can we guess, they might get here. How many are coming up the slope.

My question..

Is how many abreast can they travel up the path? two? one? 5? I dunno?

But currently I'm all for my Illusiory plan, flirt's all for combat, but we should probably line the sides of the cliff, pepper them with as much projectiles as possible (remember I can dimension hop Boulders down the hill without a saving throw and Loda and I both have bulls' strength on) and she's got flaming spheres to control while rolling them up and down the path.

Alyssia can lightning bolt large streams of people and Stoneskin the frontline fighters, and in the event of overwhelming odds (which may eventually come) the plan for Thondrek at least is to drop a Fireball and either go invisible or tele-hop away for a spell lol

But yes providing the path leading to where we are is not super wide that is likely the best place to keep the fight.
(Loda doesn't have an entangle and the clearing allows for swarming as was pointed out)

the problem I see

is we have no definate destination we know what we're looking for, but with no means of doing so. So let's se if we can't cause a ruckus, and then get back to the plan of searching.

If a fells ogre, spirit sounds and chucked bodies doen't scare the lesser races somewhat I don't know what will.

I'm not saying we stay and fight 1000+, but if we can make a dent in the forces, even 20-30 of them at a time via skirmishes, it can wear them down over time and do a great service for all races in the area.
