BooBoo - is Nurse Miraan in the Mess Hall as posted or in the Obs lounge? Just want to make sure before I teleport her randomly from one place to another without intending to.

I didn't know you could have dinner in the observation lounge I thought it was for 'observing' things.

This is a small lounge located on deck 5 and is set in the forward edge of the primary hull. It has a very relaxed and congenial air about it; The Observation Lounge is the only place on the ship where rank means nothing - "sir" need not be uttered when a person of lower rank addresses an officer, and everyone is on an equal footing. Opinions can be voiced in complete safety. This lounge is the social center of the ship.
The Observation Lounge has a small number of recreational games and assorted "stuff". 3-D chess and other games can all be found here. There is also a bar (self-service) which is stocked (at the Captain's discretion) with various potent alcoholic beverages, such as chech'tluth, Aldebaran whiskey, Saurian brandy, Tzartak aperitif, Tamarian Frost, C&E Warp Lager, Warnog, Antarean brandy, and many others as well as a small food/drink replicator that can make the synthahol versions of these and other drinks.
The Observation Lounge is often named by the crew, and is decorated as the crew decides and usually has a theme, to some extent. A small number of tables and chairs, as well as some benches, provide seating for the crew. Large windows set into the forward wall allow a breathtaking view from the bow of the ship, giving a clear view of what lies before the ship. Situated under the forward torpedo tubes, they also allow for a 'you-are-there' view of the launching of these destructive devices.


I know... it doesn't necessarily say anything about "food" but, I imagine that it's a much nicer place to have dinner than the Enlisted and/or Officers' mess halls... The view is certainly better, anyway.

The mess hall is obviously purposed specifically for eating, and probably gets the majority of the "dining only" traffic, but it is certainly viable to eat in the observation lounge. The Peregrine does stock "real" alcohol, and allows replicator production of it - though Captain Drake takes an extremely dim view of drunk and disorderly conduct.

A social drink or two? No problem.

Getting intoxicated on your own time, in private, where it does not affect your work performance? Your business - unless, of course, the ship is located in an area or mission where an upgraded alert status is ongoing.

Hopefully there's enough there for everyone to work with.

BooBoo - feel free to interact with Leah (I can "possess" her for the RP, if you like) or, if you prefer, feel free to approach Tochi and Asovil's table... everwhat ya wanna do!

Brom - we can do this dinner however you like... play it out in post, collab behind the scenes, do a rough outline of what transpired/was discussed and refer back to it in later posts if need be...


Aaaaand, after re-reading the ACTD info regarding the Obs Lounge, I decided that, since ours has gone unnamed this far, Leah was gonna start playing around with naming the place something more than Obs lounge... Dio and crew might have some kicks playing with this... Maybe there'll be a raffle? Margarita Mondays? Disco night? I'm rambling... *sets phaser to stun*

I've posted for Asovil, and am good with the play-by-post continuation of the happenings and conversation between Asovil and Tochi, Eol.
