I still prefer leaving the horses behind, but if the rest of you want to take them Aelistae is willing to go along with the plan.

And don't worry Dwibius! We all goof from time to time.

Time's a tickin'!

I prefer fighting on my feet, personally, but it kinda makes sense to take the horses for time's sake. We really don't have time to go on foot, especially with all the time we are taking with discussing the situation. The longer we take to get going, the more time the enemy has to rally together.

So, horses or no, Artanis is ready to go..

I dunno, maybe once they get close to the next camp, they can get off the horses, who knows...I don't care one way or the other, I just wnt us to move out and kill the next group of gobos, and orcs.

Also, just for the record....(and provided the layout allows it) I think we should stick with what works, and surround the next camp and take them out like we did the last one.

busy, busy me

I'm a bit busy today, but I'll try and post tonight when I get back. Failing that it'll be tomorrow or possibly Friday before I can get a post in. Apologies for that.

DA, that may not work here.

If they heard the horn, they will already be gearing up to move as we are, but not taking as much time for discussion.

So it's more likely they'll be moving out of the camp, if not already out of it, before we encounter them.

If so, they'll see us before we can surround them in the open ...

But the ride-dismount-strike option could work. If we keep the baddies occupied, they won't be worried too much about the horses ...

I doubt Intella can dismount, move and attack all in the same round. Dismounting from a mount is a move action unless you can make a DC 20 ride check (which will be pretty tough)

Since PMs didn't work

Keep your doubts to yourself Ginafae, and let the DM do his job.

Heeerrre's Johnny!

As soon as I figure out who Johnny is I'm gonna start working on a post. I've got sporadic interwebs now and I'm working on catching up on all the stuff that's gone on since I left. should have a post up in a day or two.

And Tek, welcome to the group. I'm going to apologize now because I know at some point I'm going to misspell your character's name. In my head I keep reading his name as Ashram, and even picture him as the Black Knight from Record of Lodoss War. I know, he's (hopefully) the wrong alignment and outlook and everything, but that's the association my brain made, and it's being stubborn about letting go.

Welcome back!

I wish you hadn't written the whole Ashram thing. Now that's how I think of Tek's character. ...Well that and as a goblin delicacy.

A confused question

Would not Alistae's dismount require a Ride check, since it is nearly identical to the one (formerly) attempted by Intella?

By my line of thought

Her post breaks down her dismount as a move action (the ride check is to dismount and still move in the same round) then her standard action is invoking her racial ability to call forth the dancing lights. I'm not sure it or i can make it any clearer i'm afraid.

Oh. I understand.

She did state her dismount as a move action, which Intella did not. So it's all in the wording of the post, the player stating specific phases of movement(s)/action(s).

My assumption on my (altered) post was that the DM would know, as I did, that she could not do the actions described in one round, and would break it down as necessary, as I have seen in your own posts describing the actions of the entire group.

A mistaken assumption on my part. No problem.

You are correct

That in my update based on your old post (I'd have simply let you do as much as possible per round of your post, then completed it as available for subsequent rounds.)

On that note. I'll be rereading/ updating right now for the main group.
