catch up
Religon:
I am an atheist. No heaven, supreme beings, cosmic guides, or any such thing in my belief system. We are dust in a meaningless universe.
Fave Race/Class:
I prefer being the DM because I hate not knowing what is going on. However when I do play I tend towards dwarven fighters.
First Name:
Roger

My favorite class and race would have to be an elven ranger.
My first name is Tim.

Mo' stuff
I don't necessarily have a favorite character class or race, really... I'm not too keen on clerics, though (or any class that relies on "divine magic" for that matter). Never was very big on magic user characters of any sort really until I started playing Jal in CWWLLO. I'm not terribly great at playing dwarves, either. Otherwise, I'm not picky.
My first name is Rob.

I'm Jakob. (Spelled with a K 'cause I'm Swedish.)
I like humans. I used to like elves and gnomes and amoebafolk and whatnot because they're different, but nowadays I feel that pretty much any other fantasy races (or sci-fi species) than humans are bound to steretypes, while humans always represent the entire spectrum of characteristics. (That's ethnocentric game design for you! )
As for class, I haven't really played in enough campaigns to know. (I've mostly just GMed.) Rangers are cool (wink, wink, Eol ), but just like elves they often seem to become associated with one type of character (similar to druids, monks, and paladins). That said, I'd likely go with something more universal like the fighter or the rogue (who, thankfully, is no longer a "thief" since 3rd edition ).

I know this is stereotyping Scarab,
BUT...you don't 'look' like a typical Swede.

That's cuz...
...oddly enough, Jakob looks nothing like his avatar. Go figger!
I'm pretty partial to rangers, myself, actually (although, I tend to forego much of the divine magic stuff associated with them when I play them)... Something in my blood, I think. All that considered, though, I'm still not too particular about race or class... My enjoyment comes from character development rather than being concerned with class/race.

Seriously, now: Why does everyone seem to think that I look like my avatar?
Valygar is awesome, but like Eol said, neither my skin nor my hair color is the same as his. I'm simply awesome in my own right. Blue eyes, brown hair, and light skin that never seems to tan and only burns. (Honestly: I got a sunburn while standing in line for Revenge of the Sith, and that was in May, which is early spring in Sweden...)

hmmm....
Music: anything by Hamasaki Ayumi (Japanese nomenclature, last name first)
Visit: Don't know about visit, but I am gonna move to Japan after I graduate to find a job as an EFL teacher. Cha-CHING!
Sign: Pisces, but I don't buy into astrology. I think it's all hokey. You are not fated to be a certain way just because the planet happened to be in the view of a certain group of stars when you were born.
Sleep: Freefall, and almost totally true. Everything but the hates extreme situations bit. I love extreme situations! I'm a swordfighter in the SCA!
Holiday: Toss-up. St. Patrick's Day (I have a good deal of Irish heritage, particularly the alcohol tolerance), and Thanksgiving (get together, eat a lot, watch a game of football, and go to sleep for like 12 hours cause of the tryptophan overload)
First thought in morning: "Who can I get to fill in at my 9am class?" shortly before I realize that's not possible, then I go to the coffee shop and start my day.
Romantic Evening: Let me ask someone who isn't me about that one. I haven't had one of those in over 7 years.
Favorite site that isn't here: None
Favorite Drink (No-Booze): Ruby Red Squirt (soda)
Favorite Drink (Booze): Warm Sake. You can tell it's the good stuff when it can be drank at under boiling temperature and still taste good.
What's the favorite costume you ever had for Halloween: This year - Vampire. I had 4 Saudi exchange students ask to take a picture with me, and they didn't even know my name. I waited for the right moment, and the rubber-wig Elvis got a funny surprise, as I posed for a bite which I hadn't announced. Watching the poor guy squirm while he thought I was going to bite him...priceless.
Your favorite treat: Sushi, especially Maguronigiri. And, bring on the wasabi (good stuff, but if you take too much, let me just say "move over, Sudafed. Here's something to clear your sinuses in like, 3 seconds!)
Age at which I stopped Trick-or-Treating: 19
Your favorite Halloween show: watching me put on my costume. I was an AWESOME vampire, complete with realistic point-attachment fangs, pasty white face, etc...
Fortune told: Nope.
ESP and psychic phenomena: on the fence, and too long an explanation.
What's your worst fear: I have acrophobia, and presently, the friggin' raccoons we got on campus at the wee hours of the morning. They chase people.
Pets: against the rules in the dorms, all except for fish. I think I'm gonna get a piranha one of these days.
Dreamt of being: a NINJA!
Will actually become: An EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teacher in Japan
Blind date: no
Any date in the past 7 years: no
Date I couldn't remember: Not that I recall.
Posting name: I was heavy into InuYasha at the time I joined, and my favorite character was Kikyou, a miko. For those of you who don't know, a Miko is a Shinto shrine maiden.
As for what the name means, Kikyou is the Japanese name for the Chinese Bellflower, a common funeral flower in Japan. The honorific -sama is used to refer to someone in a position of power or deserving of great respect, such as government officials or the clergy.
Hence the (Original) name Miko_Ayune(Kikyou)-sama
Color: Blue
Season: Spring
Most attractive in a woman: Eyes/hair/smile, Sorry Al, but you're wrong here. I'm a face man (to an extent).
Last time I cried and why: When I found out the first and only woman I ever truly loved(and-call me a sap-I still do, just as much as ever) hadn't even the slightest feelings for me. Did so nightly for 2 years, and probably still would if the wound reopened.
Christmas list: a Job
Favorite cheese: Provolone, hands down
Christmas traditions: actually calling it Christmas. Stores that won't sell me a *Christmas* Tree for fear of offending anyone don't want my *Christmas* money. (I know the stuff about Christmas, and I'm don't care if it's Dec. 25 or Aug 6. It's the actual celebration of Christ's birth I'm talking about.
Nature: not sure about that one...
Worst Lie: not printable
Sing along: radio no, Winamp yes, but only in Japanese.
Dream Car: Corvette
Languages: German (near fluent, near native accent), Japanese (middling, near native accent)
Favorite Hotdog: Boiled till it gets big, on a steamed bun with mustard.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: also brown
Age: 22
Fingernails: variable length
Under my bed: My books
Last Movie: 300
Like to wear: my silver cloak
Largest tip: $10
Smallest: $3
Hobbies: D&D (pre WotC), stalking people in my Ninja boots at night, Martial Arts (Judo in particular)
Race/Class: Thri-kreen Psionicist
And, you can call me Sensei if you want, since a classroom full of Japanese students will in a few years.
As to my first name, I am Chris(Christopher, but only my mother gets to call me that).
