I responded as Fate...

but as previously mentioned, it is a 'still night'.. There his hardly any wind at all this eve, what little there is is a southwest-northeasterly breeze, if that.

Fireballs as Doorknockers

MY last update pertains to everyone, so read along, and it may or may not change your plans.

Brianna and DM here's the kicker. You've got every right to just move on by now, and I'll write singular storylines for you two as I have in the past, but the main storyline is here and now, your participation while not 'forced', would make for more of a flow/ character interaction/ progression into the next stage of the game as this chapter comes closer to a close.

A question of gates ...

Kaelyn, in your last post you mention that anyone looking int he norther or eastern gate could see the ruckus that was taking place with Fate.

1) ... On my map, I don't see a northern gate.

2) ... If you're referring to the northern breach, then we don't have to worry about them closing that, which gives us a slight advantage if we move fast enough ...

I mention this because I am currently writing a, sadly, long-overdue post, and need the clarified information to finish what I would like Intella to say and do ...

OMG

Ok, I missed a lot this past week or two

Anyway, I need to know if Artanis will be able to make it into the gate before it closes. if so, she will be making a dash for the gate right along with Aelistae, if not, I guess she'll still try.

But before I can post, I need to know one way or the other. And I am sorry it's been so long since I last posted.

Bolikar's Hold

Alright, that's the map that one of y'all found while snoopin round (It's also on page 50).. Me thinks it was linnix I can't remember.. Anywhoo...

From where Those on the eastern side are.. it's 100' to th Eastern Wall, closer to 200' to get Around the corner and into the northern gate.. (Seee the gate class... gooood )

Now, those with a movement speed of 20' or 30'movement (which is all of you save Dwibius), a typical run is x4 movement, so that's tadaa 100'/120' a round, meaning you'll make it in there for the end of the second round. leaving 8 before the gates close.

So techincally you've even got time to cast a few spells, or drink a potion or prep for the charge, just make it sound hastily since really all this is happening in under 60 seconds.

Ooooops! My bad!

I have that map, but was looking at the area map (with all the goblin camps). That one shows no northern gate.

Okay, then, I can have a back- and catch-up-post in a short time.

Oh, and with Intella's Monk Fast Movement, she is considered to have a move of 30 herself, so she can be at the gate with the rest, or at least not far behind ...

If any ranged defenders do show up on the walls, I plan to shatter their plans... literally. Baleful Utterance.

I couldn't resist the pun.

I expect...

to be able to update to the many things I need to post to sometime today, just in a lil while, when the vicaden's wear off from my blowing out my knee...

So in my gibbled condition today I'll likely be around taking time to play catch up.

Personally...

I believe that the only way to knock on a door is to cast fireball. That brought much fun to games of neverwinter nights. Upon entering each unoccupied room, if there were hints of locked or trapped chests, a fireball would fix that and any (and all) ambient issues.

Then it got to levels where fireball didn't kill enemies so well, so the only reason for casting it became to open doors I was too lazy to walk up to before looking inside.

Anyway, I posted up, enjoy the antics of the mighty bard.

Huh?...Mighty bard? Where?

...Just kidding we all love Dylan. He makes us all look so much better.

On a more serious note, I am anxious about this fight and about Kaelyn's next update. Somehow I don't think it's going to be quite as easy as the ones we've just been in.
