Devon

"I feel your aggrevation, friend. I was once a loner til I met up with Brianna and her friends. Up til then, I was usually on top of things, knew what was going on and what to expect next. It was basically my bread and butter......but now? This is the most lost I've ever been.
All I really know at this point is that the dragon you attacked, Flame, this is his home world, and quite the detour from our quest it would seem!"

With his last sentence Devon sits down on a tree stump with a grimace on his face.:-/

Lorae

Lorae nods to the warrior-priest. "I am Lorae Paladin of the Light, I know that the last world we were on had a diety called Pelor, where as The Light was unknown on that world, as far as I know."

"Please join us, though most have finished eating, I am sure Zara would gladly keep you company as you eat, the child had a bottomless pit for a stomach."

She looked back up to the knoll watching Zara for a few moments,

"Some of you have not fully introduced yourselves." She then looks to the others.

"I wish we could help you with knowledge of where we are, but it would seem Oko, Zara, Dae and Moraglin, Precious and Flame are from other areas of this world, but know not of the area we are in."

"Our plans for now are to spend the night here and in the morning take off northwest following the river downhill."

Brianna

"The Amazon woman stopped and stood arms akimbo, legs spread and obviously irritated. Tall, muscular, but not bulky, wearing a very fine mithral scaled-chainmail shirt that fell to her mid thighs, ornate greaves and bracers and arm bands and a mithral buckler completes her armor . Two long swords were crossed behind her with the long hilts over each shoulder and a massive double-bladed Orc Ax on her left hip with various daggers at hip, back, and boot.

"I am tired of being flung willy-nilly from world to world," declared Brianna angrily.

"First of all Lorae and I are the last survivors of a group that was ripped from Peradyse. We ended up in another world that I did not even know the name off. Though the land was called Faerun. That is where Alexandria, Soronuume, and Devon are from. How am I to find the Sword of Truth. Jeril is gone, Logan is gone, Vatta, Cerric, Highnar, all gone now."

Moraglin

"Coming through a portal is not the act of the gods, it is simple magic." Moraglin interjects. "A portal stone is a gateway to another set of portal stones. Whatever is set on them, there you go. Not the gods whim or need, simply the way it is. Xander said he was in ruins he must have inadvertently passed through a set of portal stones that were set for this place and so here he is. Not the work of Gods, but only magic."

"That is what happened to us. Those old ruins we were fighting in had that set we passed through and here we are. Just makes me curious about what was once here that these portals stones led too. They are mighty works of magic and would be put on important places."

"Now ,personally, I am from the Great Smoke Plains East-southeast of the Sea of Annihilation on Kalos, which is fortunately on this world. I, however, am as clueless as the rest of you about where we are except my home lies in that direction. She points mostly west and slightly south."

After watching Xander's surreptitious curiosity, she adds, "I am half-Felani and half Elf, Sir Priest."

Night Time

"Why go northwest when apparently her home is southwest?" Xander speaks up, trying to take in all that has happened. He watches Brianna for a long moment, eyes narrow for some reason before moving to sit next to the sorceror. "Half-Felani? Never heard of the species...race..but elves, indeed. I had a friend who was a elf. Got killed by a dragon unfortunatly..." He lowers his head and shrugs. "I will go with you all. Perhaps the portal area where some came through can be checked out once more to see if it goes back the way it once came. And we should be wary of anything of ill intent that could have passed through. I wonder why our world and this worl got conneced..." He shrugs. "I'll take a watch if needed."

Lorae

"Looks like Zara is out of food," Lorae comments looking up to see the peculiar teen walking back to camp with a empty plate.

"I'll take this watch, and you others can figure out watches for the rest of the day and through the night. I would suggest 2 at a time and at least one should have low light vision or dark vision."

Lorae heads up the hill and a silvery stallion detatches itself from the herd and follows along with her.

Zara

"Hi Xander, get to know everyone yet? Have you eaten yet?" she left no pausse for him to answer the first question, nor the second as she went on, "I hate eating alone." and without pause. "You know Devon this meal is quite excellent. Eat up Xander we don't get food like this often."

She sat down and piles her plate full for the third time.

"Oh and why we are not going southeast is because she is a bit off on her global geography." Zara had heard that remark coming it. "Anyway her home is a about a thirsd of the way aroung Azhure, the name of our world, and across a fairly big expanse of water."

Confusion

"I'll take a watch first thing tonight.." Xander goes to get some food and returns shortly afterwards. He eats slow, looking like he has a lot on his mind. "So we will leave in the morning, and head southeast? What is this place exactly? Some alternate dimension? New world? Planar anomaly?" The cleric sticks pretty close to Devon as the man appears to be from the same world as the cleric.

Precious

"Not that way," comes a sibilant hissing voice in Xander's ear as he sits down with a his plate of food. A golden dragonette is hovering in mid air she is smaller than Flame and more delicate that the scarlet one he sent Searing light at earlier.

"We go that way not southwest," the dragonette who glitters like gold points more northwest. Good people there--my home. Up the big river," then flutters down next to Xander.

She sits neatly beside the Cleric with her long tail looped around in front of her.

Dragon 2

"Another dragon?" Xander seems somewhat surprised. "So it is your home we shall travel to? Sorry so many here just...confusing. And I'm a bit tired." The cleric sits down, crossing his legs after he finishes eating. He rests his shield on the ground with his mace and other gear within arms reach.

Moraglin: "Coming through a portal is not the act of the gods, it is simple magic." Moraglin interjects. "A portal stone is a gateway to another set of portal stones. DEVON: "Not to dispute you, Moraglin, but I'm not speaking of works of the gods. "Fate" is basically predestination. I find it hard to believe that it's a coincidence that we all went through different portal entrances only to come through the SAME portal exit. It's more than magic, more than coincidence, it is Fate. Besides, look at the timeframe in which we came through, a matter of hours. Though we may not be able to see the bigger picture yet, it's all part of the greater plan. It's the "Why" that's got me perplexed.

As far as portals are concerned, don't even get me started!
My home, Genesica, a lost civilization of Faerun, was almost destroyed by the erection of unstable portals and an astral event. The catastrophic event teleported the entire Island out of the Faerunian world. It was thanks to the remaining unstable portals and a bit of serendipity,
that I had to stepped into the correct portal and wound up in the world of Faerun, but there were many other portals that I could have gone through that would not have ended well.

Well, I'm pretty tired. If it's all right with you, I'll take the second watch. Who would like to take the second watch with me?"

Watch

"I'll take secone watch with you, Devon. As it seems we have come from the same or at least similar worlds we may be able to figure some things out. As for gods and dieties, I follow my strictly. I feel perhaps this occured with his knowledge and he wants me here-wherever here really is, if here truly exists-for some dire and good reason. Perhaps some evil to thwart or some disease to cure. Or both. I do not like being toyed with but perhaps we all are. I don't know..." Xander looks very flustered, tired and frustrated with the entire ordeal.

Game Post: The Night Passes

Watches are set and dinner is made later from the remains of the lunch. The only night sounds were the cacaphony of nocturnal creatures going about the business of living and dying.

For the new comers to the world, standing watch brings them the distinct sense of displacement as three moons in various phases orbit in the night sky, and the stars form very different configurations.

Night?

When not on watch, Xander sits crosslegged on his bedroll, eyes closed and meditating, as well as praying quietly. He tries not to look at the moons, as if it bothers him.
