Marching order, per my khatun.
As I understand it from posts and such is that the marching order would be as follows:
Kith and Aranwen at the point, Garn and Gib behind or beside them, Midge and Davena in the middle followed closely by Cedric, and Ch'dau playing rear guard.
If I'm mistaken in any of these, of course, I leave it to our leader(s) to clarify.
Let's do some damage!

Hey, now!
Don't kill my Kith or my Khatun... Otherwise marching order may go the way of monkey's flinging their own poo and you'll all be stuck in a closed cave system with a raging cat-beast! And I'm killing Garn first!

Possible patterns
This is what I end up visualizing when I see the group travelling into the cavern system
From front to back
Kithran |
|
Garn |
Midge (Torch?) |
Gib |
Ch'dau |
Aranwen |
|
Cedric |
Davena |
|
|
Aranwen wants to be near the front so she may be able to shield Kithran with her body should a giggler be set upon us, prevent a repeat of the prior night. Aranwen's natural dexterity may be sufficient to tread lightly in this position, and she does have good awareness I believe.
Kithran at point makes sense, watch where we're going, and most importantly watch for traps
The middle group is more nebulous, but starting with Garn and Cedric being backup to Kithran and Aranwen - another martial force to back up the front line, and Cedric able to directly support
Midge and Davena next, with the very important torch. From this position, Midge and Davena have visibility front and back. (also: "wizard in the middle, where he can shed some light"... )
Rear we have Gib and Ch'dau. From what I gather, Gib is more martial inclined than Cedric, and his heavier armour would be suited to block an ambush, while simultaneously supporting Ch'dau and our casters as needed.

^^My Khatun^^
This is why Ch'dau follows the bladesinger! Always thinking but always dangerous, to boot!

Makes sense. And depending on the situation, Kith can fall back and let Garn push up to take her spot.
What is that thing they say about battle plans lasting until you encounter the enemy?

Pretty sure they say battle plans work out perfectly and no one but the clear bad guy in every situation is put to rest.
It's a really good saying.

Yeah, well, from Anakin's perspective, the jedi were evil, amirite?
I mean... the cultists are just trying to glorify their god. So you're the intruding bad guys here.

That's true. You guys, maybe we should all just turn around?
Those gigglers do seem SO happy all the time. Maybe we have it all wrong. Should we look at it from their perspective?

Kill 'em all...
...let Rrowl sort 'em out!
FWIW, I can see width of the caves coming into play where marching order is concerned, too. Where they're narrow, the order proposed by Aranwen, above, makes complete sense. However, should they widen at some point, I can envision a shift of sorts in the distribution of fighters vs otherwise skilled folk.... Blades around the blasters, so to speak. "Around the survivors, a perimeter make!"

What the cat said!
Yes, truly a wonderful way to start any day ^__^
It is interesting too, with prequel stuff. It definitely changes the way Kith will be thinking of Aranwen. Not too much, she's always had a lot of respect for her, she'll just probably think/speak in more familiar tones to and about her.
I'm giddy over here haha

LOL
I caught that reference!
Soooo, yeah, shameless plug just in case any of you missed it: Breebles, Reralae, and myself have finally gotten around to kicking off an adventure (or, likely, a series of them) that's going to detail 1) how Kithran and Ch'dau first met, 2) what sort of mischief they got up to and how they came to be such good friends before the events of Hidden Corruption, and 3) how they came to know Aranwen.
We've just gotten started, really, but we are under way and I figure that now's a good a time as any to extend an invitation to any of you who might have an interest in joining. Bring in your character from this game or whip up a new one, I don't think it matters as we'd love to have any of you in whatever capacity. First posts are available for your perusal at The Adventures of Kith and the Cat.
EDIT: Yeah, I think the prequel business is going to have an impact on how Ch'dau interacts with Aranwen, too. He's always respected her martial prowess, of course, but, given some of the "behind the scenes" conversations that I've had with the Butterfly, there may just be a deeper connection there... Shhhh... #NoSpoilers
