Good... Then my work here is done! :D

Glad to bring a little sunshine where I can!

Tochi post is away... I think Dirven's memories might've gotten the better of Ol' Spot! *woof, woof!*

I almost forgot!

Ody - the addition of two new NPCs to the TAC/SEC roster is ultimately up to Olan, however, I'm going t take a wild guess and say that the answer is probably "no."

Given the size of the ship and the "upper threshold" of her crew compliment, I'm fairly certain we've got a full boat. (Max is 65 and we're currently showing 61 PCs/NPCs on the roster... that leaves four open slots which, in my mind are technically slotted for ENG, as that department is looking a bit sparse.) That said, given the need to cover three, eight hour shifts with the number of crew we have to do so, ALL of the departments aboard the Peregrine are understaffed, has the cross-departmental shifts on the roster (we've got OPS and TAC personnel sitting the occasional helm duty, for example)... *shrugs* ... maybe cross-train some NPCs from other departments to offset the want of those two extra security guys?

Anyhoo... as I said, the GM has the final say... I'm more or less thinking out loud and floating options.

No Biggy.....

Just popped you a PM about how I got there.

Security has to cover weapons bay each shift, watch desk and bridge. The rest was just the security body to rapid deploy on each shift.

I'm with ya

I'm sure you'll have a definitive yes or no once Olan weighs in, but, like I said, there are a couple of options available to provide coverage if we keep SEC at 16 "official" personnel. There's the cross-training bit I mentioned above and, also, (and I seem to remember having Mac do this aboard the Discovery), there's the option to tweak security's shift rotation away from the standard Alpha, Beta, Gamma in order to create swings or overlapping shifts for your existing personnel... That might mean longer hours for some or fewer days "off" but, with some tinkering, it's doable.

Not you, silly!

You signed up for the medical department and they're the most understaffed of all! You all are lucky if you get to fall asleep on the job!

Well crap

It was a good thought while it lasted.

Hey did Lt Reid mention something about 'sleep shifts'? Would like one of those.

I have offended—I mean offered—another post to the post gods.

Eol, I hope I've given enough to continue the dinner conversation with.

Also, the moment with Maize is silverscreen. Just thought about what that experience was like last night and decided to share it.

Yep... that works!

Tochi sort of flustered himself, there, for a minute... and Asovil unknowingly just offered him something of a reprieve with that "wearing bells to the reception" bit.

I love the idiom-butchery!!!

I'll get something back soon.

ALSO - the silver-screen moment with Dalia!

Okay...

....so remember the other day when I was talking about doing a crew pic and whatnot? Welllll, I've been playing around with some ideas in photoshop (mainly doing some compositing and whatnot in order to get an idea as to layout, etc) and... welll... I came up with this. Ladies and gentlemen, your Captain, Silas Drake:

Thanks!

It was just supposed to be a "study," really, but the more I putzed around with it, the more I liked it. Showed it to Olan and he liked it, as well, so... there ya have it. Also tacked it on to El Capitan's roster entry.

Wonder who I'm going to try and interpret next?

dude

I am loving these posts so much!

Great silver screen... love how that was depicted.

And the pic... man, that is almost EXACTLY what I had in my mind's eye! Ever so slightly different hairstyle, maybe, but so close as to be ridiculous. And just so freaking COOL.

Silver screen moment

While I'm not sure by what that means, I did enjoy the bit with Ensign Maize. I did imagine how that would have went if the SB security had tried that with Medical and Chief Cook. I imagine a whole different encounter.

It was very enjoyable to read.

Oh I'm working up a little something for Chief Cook after hours for later. I hope to have it up tonight, if anyone cares.
