Edward touched her hands to remove Dawn's hands from her face, but as he did so, magic coursed through him and his eyes opened anew, and without her magic, she was still very attractive, though he could clearly see she didn't think so. She glowed with an aura that suggested much power, greater even than she knew. He withdrew his hand as only the smallest of instances had passed.

"Woah...so that's what the Third Sight is..."

Donald walked beside Dawn down the hallway. He was still sour about his brother's gift, but he tried not to let it show. As he walked, Donald sang softly, adding a soundtrack to the making of new friends.

"Huh?" Dawn blinked and stared at Edward.

Donald had missed that. He was so busy with his singing, he forgot what was going on around him. "The train, skates into fort henry, on a late sunday..." He trailed off as he looked at the two.

Am I ever going to stop being confused?

Edward stared at his hand for a moment, sparks flicking from his fingertips, then fading away to nothing, until there was no more.

"My mistress used to call it the Third Sight. First sight is what you see with your eyes, second sight is seeing the past or the future. Third sight is seeing the present for what it really is. I saw you without your magic...you're really quite beautiful, if you don't mind my saying so."

He paused, "It's how I knew I had a gift...I'm a sensitive, I can feel magic...but I've never felt anything like that...your power is amazing."

Just then, they passed under a rotunda with a giant circle etched on the floor with crystals inlaid into it.

"A holding circle? I've never seen one this big," he waved his hand over the edge and sparks flew from his fingertips again, "or so powerful."

"It has to be." Dawn said curtly. Her face was drawn, tense, as she looked at him.

"I wanna see!"

Donald forgot his song, and he tried and tried to use this "Third sight".

Man, I'll never get past the first.

He decided her magic was like make-up. Whether she needed it or not, she would never leave home without it applied. It made him feel better about not being able to see her without it.

"Sooooo," Edward said, recoving from his amazement, "What are we standing around here for? We've got places to go! People to see!"

Hex looked at him skeptically. She didn't see the need for his amazement. Cats, you see, already have the Third Sight.

Dawn suddenly began towards the courtyard, where students relaxed.

Donald followed the two, taking turns between singing and watching Dawn's hips. He was absolutely infatuated. He forgot he was in public, and his voice was ringing out quite loudly

"Sometimes, when I'm riding high..."

He trailed off again as he realized people were looking at him. He didn't know why. It's natural for a guy to sing, right?

Dawn sat down on a bench, smiling at a small red flower beside her.

Edward looked around at the Courtyard, and was happy to see seemingly normal, happy people around. Granted, he could feel the magic in the air like high humidity, but still. Hex curled her tail around his neck to keep him warm from the cool air, and he rubbed her head, careful to avoid pulling on the ruby earring she wore.

He realized as they were walking that he'd started singing too, an old, familiar song that his mistress had taught him. He sang soft and low to himself and to Hex, and she purred.

Donald watched Dawn smile at the flower. He could finally use his magic.

The plant began to dance. The pedals began to look like thousands of rubies, glistening in the light. It grew until it was as tall as Donald, and the dance ceased. But the transformation stayed in place.

Adrian had regained his strenght. He was still so tired though, but it was only physical fatigue, a kind of wear that did not affect his skills. He reached out with his mind until he sensed the bloodshot one, wondering whether or not it was okay for men to sing. His mind had been cleared. The pretty one was occupying the space of his mind as well, as was the lanky one.

The lanky one...

Adrian slolwy and gently infested his mind, until he saw what his puppet saw. The courtyard, filled with students. Adrian had been so calm latley, he had disturebed no one, and for the most part, peace enveloped the academy. Everyone had been at ease until these three had arrived.

Adrian worked his way into his puppets mind, the fool had not even noticed him. Suddenly he took control. The cat around his neck flung off violently and he punched the bloodshot one. With that, Adrian let go.

Dawn looked at Donald. "Hey, watch it! You might make enemies." She nodded to a group of boys glaring at them. Dawn then said nothing as she felt Adrian take over Edward. She even watched calmly as he hit Don, before seeking out the boy.
