Note

Remember, there are two ladders to the second floor of the warehouse, one on each side of the main (rolling) door. One of them will lead up to the correct side, though you'll have to navigate throuh the crate piles that are up there.

Also, you will be able to move enough crates to block the doors, but I very much doubt you will have the time, or the number of movable crates to make a usable stairway up to the second floor.

ladders

If it is possible, I think it would be a good idea to haul up the ladders once we're up on the second floor. Not only to give anybody who follows a hard time chasing us, but also to provide a simple way to get off the roof on the other side.

It is possible

Currently they are attached to the upper landing, but it would only take a small amount of work (particularly for metal-savvy dwarves) to undo the fastenings and enable them to be pulled up or moved.

getting off the roof

if no one grabs the ladders then we will need the tallest member to come out first and get to the ground to help the slaves down.

distraction

Anybody have any good spells to use? Maybe a ghost sound to make it sound like we're escaping through the back? A charm person to keep the guys from following us?

This is why I like low level so much. We would've thrown a fireball down, but now we have to think to survive.

Shield

For the moment I am NPCing Echo. I believe he has Dancing Lights and Ghost Sounds available that may be used as a distraction if used correctly.

Light

I have light, wish I had obscuring mist or something . How valuable is water? I can create a bunch and leave it in a bucket and the other team will go crazy trying to possess it or something... or not.

hmmm...

It may be a desert community, but there are a number of public wells, as well as other people who can create water. Simply filling a bucket with water wouldn't have the desired effect. At least in the city anyway.

Distraction

To (hopefully) maintain the credibility of the light distraction Echo will continue its presence as long as he can, making it move in and out of line of sight, but never moving toward their current location. Once the spell's effects fade, as long as they are still undetected he'll recast and attempt to maintain the distraction as long as possible.

I saw no point in making another in game post for that since there are no new actions taking place, merely the minimal thought required to move the light. If Charm Person was more useful it might be a viable option, but its a single target spell with a range of Close, and Echo isn't getting close enough to armed guards to attempt a spell on them. That's more of a cast from behind the rest of the group to get a single guard to help kinda option, not going to stop 12 guards with that spell, especially since I can't cast it 12 times. Good thinking though, I intend to go with a lot of enchantment in his arsenal to reflect the fey influences in his blood.

Oky

Alright, so we're going down. I think it would be wise if somebody went with the slave group as they move away from the building. Argent would do it, but he's behaving like a living shield right now.

Any volunteers?

my kingdom for a sword

Is there any thing I can use for a weapon? Uthgar as it stands is essentially naked and weaponless, and without spells or the like, he cannot do much right now.

The Guards

The guards that the party defeated have been untouched. They are clad in leather armor (marked with the merchant's crest)and wielding longswords.

Time?

If there is time, I would like to don on some of this armor (presuming I can find someone's who can fit my size) and will grab tow long swords. Tell me if you want an Uthgar clip on the action.

Note

I am willing to say that you were donning the armor and grabbing a sword while everyone else was organizing and moving the slaves up the ladder and out onto the roof since you hadn't posted that you were doing anything during that time.
