Attending the dead......

I was checking the handbook to see if the cleric did a "Detect Magic" spell to see if any of our fallen might have items that could help us later. Because the ship itself is protected by magic that strength of magic would hide anything on the bodies from a general scan.

"Magical areas, multiple types of magic or strong local magical emanations may confuse or conceal weaker auras, although the Castle Keeper may allow the caster to spend additional rounds concentrating to decipher the confusion or reveal weaker auras."
So I suggest that the Elve, and the Bard start removing and saving the arrows, bolts and weapons and the Dwarve and Shaman do the last rites and the Half-Orc follow the Shaman and inter the bodies into the river. When that is done they all gather back by the Amazon.

We can all post our view on the action, if you all think this is a good idea.

Hey all

I'm still here.
Sorry for my slow reaction time. sickness, work and family have each taken a pieve of me over the past couple of weeks.
Anyway, I actually hope to post later today after I catch up on reading the game board.
Thanks for your patience!

Names...............

In my post I have not addressed the characters by name so I hope that doesn't seem odd. Tohmaz had kept to himself because of not liking to be on the water, so he didn't learn the names. A Shaman should have a good eye for people because they travel much and could figure out race and have a good guess at their class. Tohmaz suspects that the female with he asked to assit the Amazon is a Rogue, he saw her lift the purses of the two fallen males. Perhap helping her avoid tempation would keep her in a better light for while with the other Crusades. I think I should edit my post a little to show that.

Updates Posted for BluddGrinn and Castle Keeper

Okay Gang

I wrote up the posts on Saturday and was only able to get to the internet cafe on Monday Afternoon.

Ghana is 6 hours ahead of Central Time ie 12 noon in Ghana is 6am in Oklahoma, Chicago etc.

You will have to write some Back Posts to fill in the time frames from what the Dwarf Cleric had to say about Human UnDead etc, plus the Botkinburg Update and the Heiroglyphic Map with the 27 points of interest posted that you learn about while at breakfast.

To the left of Area 18 is Area 19 which you might not be able to read on the map.

The Area 24 also has Area 24SM which is a Saw Mill

Please Read and Comprehend the Castle Keeper posts for the Breakfast with Dignitaries sets the stage for the rest of the day and what will also go on for the rest of the week before leaving Botkinburg.

The other post is obviously the info on Botkinburg, the map scratching that I posted, plus info for each numbered Area on the map.

Experience Points

Your characters do get Experience Points for posting in The Crimson Crusaders.

It would be wise to do some Back Posting and do some posting on a regular basis to gain Experience Points!

Please put some substance in your posts if you would like to get more Experience Points added from your posts!

On Second Thought

Keeper? Would it worth our while that once we are off the boat to have the Cleric do a "Detect Magic" on item from the fallen before we turn them over to the City? Could be a handy ring, amulet, sword or gauntlet among the items.

Just saying!

Updated Map is ...

..... to be found in the post titled CASTLE KEEPER Breakfast with Dignitaries.

It was showing when I looked a little while ago, then was missing and had a label Photobucket, then I edited page and submitted and it is showing now.

Let me know everone and if necessary I will send you an Email attachment with the crude map!

Reply to Detect Magic

Detect Magic spell is not one of the spells that the War Cleric has at the present time!

Just turn the weapons and armor over to the city!

There actually is Nothing Magical among the Fallen Crusaders!

Each Character Should Be Pleasantly Surprised After Visiting The Chancel, The House of D'Amter and The Swilling Swan!

Experience Points and Level Promotions

I will be computing the Experience Points from what has been posted up until DROGO TULK Clerics and Zombies post.

Ayrn your History post that needs to be edited is worth 500 Experience Points!

Luthor's Rogue has probably reached Level 3 now!

Each Class has different Experience Points requirements to Level Up and the Rogue has the lowest number of points required to Level Up!

Your Back Posts and Posts while in Botkinburg will certainly add to your Experience Points accumulations!

Each Time Your Character Levels Up I Am Granting Your Character the Maximum Hit Points for his or her Class!

After I Confirm that Brenys has Leveled Up then I will Post it in the Game Thread and also in the QnA

I was going to add it as an Edit, but I may type up a Short Castle Keeper Post to confirm this having to do with the Breakfast or thereafter!

Speaking of Levels and Spells.....

Are you granting the spells that we can use or are all of the listed spells per level available? I downloaded a copy of the CnC PH and was reviewing the spell lists.

I have a collection of AD&D 2.0 Cleric spells from my tabletop game, if I PM'd some to you could they be added?

BTW, you certainly have given us a BIZZILLION story options.
Phew, just finished reading the town posts last night.

Digesting the breakfast information and how to go from there.
Being we are to wander about the city for 8 days there is a lot that can go on. There are SO MANY clues it's hard to pick a direction.

Missing beauties, missing Golden Crusaders, an Ogre, goblins, boss goblin, a wood witch, treasure temptation and a cast of dubious dignitaries.

What ever happened to "Follow The Yellow Brick Road"?

Thanks for your patience, guys...

I really want to play!!! Grr... real life is just kicking me ATM. Every time I think, "Oh, I'll post at such and such a time", a crisis comes up and I'm putting out a fire somewhere.

I'm trying, I promise... thanks for your encouragement, Hammer!

Brenys Attains Level 3

Check out the latest CASTLE KEEPER post in The Crimson Crusaders and you will notice that Brenys Darkeyes is now transforming into a Level 3 Rogue!

The transformation will be completed in 3 days!

When she has enough Experience Points to attain Level 4 it will take 4 days to complete the transformation!

Remember that Posts do contribute to your Experience Points total in addition to what is gained as your character progresses through the adventure and encounters foes, treasure etc!

Regarding Cleric Spells and Plot Possibilities

As the Castle Keeper I have assigned the spells from the 4th printing of the C&C Players Handbook.

I will Only Be Using the Spells from this Handbook, Plus an Additional Spell from the Dwarf and American Indian Pantheons in the Of Gods and Monsters book published by Castles & Crusades!

Regarding Plot Possibilities! This first day in Botkinburg you will all be going to The Chancel, The House D'Amter and to The Swilling Swan.

Each player must choose to either stay in the Halfling Community or at the House of Sludge and where your 100 gold coins and future treasures will be stored for you.

Once we get through this day there will be some options for each player, but we will address that when we get to the next day and those following!

It is Extremely Important to continue posting and do those Back Posts for Experience Points!

Be sure to note the posts for both BluddGrinn the Grim and Drogo Tulk of the Short Swords that I wrote since posting the 27 Areas of Botkinburg!

Who Knows What Lurks In The Black Tooth Ridge?
