Large force...

“Hello gentlemen,” the new, 3 foot tall person said. “did I overhear something of an adventure in the works? If so, I might be interested if it is something interesting and exciting?”

Aquascales blinked. This was the first time he had ever saw someone shorter than himself. He was about 4' 6", tall for a Kobold. " Would you be prehaps intrested in traveling to Athera with us? My comrade, Assal," he motioned toward Assal," is looking for a sword, while I'm going to eiliminate a wanted criminal. Would you be intrested?" Aquascales noticed Assal talking to a cleric. It would seem like the were all going to Athera., " by the way, I'm Aquascales," Aquascales added as he extended his hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

The Odd one

Oswald looked at the men as they explained there business.
He didnt put much thought into what they were saying because he was focused on the paladin. he knew how paladins acted though he had never met a paladin of bahamut they all generally followed the same guidlines. A smile came across Oswalds face because he knew this would be alot of fun. Oswald focused and listened to what the tall man said "Blah blah athera blah blah sword." Oswald never was much for paying attention to the details but he always caught the main theme of what people said. After they finished Oswald responded simply "When do we leave."

Tomorrow... pending hangovers.

Assal grinned at Moonbeam and Oswald.
"If you're wanting to come along, we can leave in the morning. Depending on Tralen's hangover, of course. Does the sweet call of adventure tempt you? Or do the dangers outweigh the rewards?"

Ramblings

“A pleasure to meet you Aquascale,” the small woman piped up with her high pitched voice, “what an unusual name. Must be kind of common for a Kobold eh? This is the longest conversation I have ever had with a Kobold I must say. A sword? A magic sword maybe? And a criminal? What kind of criminal? A killer? My, it all sounds quite exciting!!”

She turns to Assal when he speaks to her and smiles brightly.

“Well it all sounds very interesting and should be quite a lot of fun! You can count me in!” she replies.

“My name is Moonbeam Lightfinger.” she says to all those assembled here, ”Please call me Moonbeam, or Moon for short. Please don’t call me Beam though, that just doesn’t sound right, does it? I don’t think so, so Moon will do if you must shorten it.”

She seems to have a tendency to ramble at times, her high pitched voice also carries throughout the Inn.

“Tomorrow you say?” She considers and then smiles, “Great. I have been traveling and could use a good meal and a good nights rest in a bed before hitting the trail once more.”

“Barkeep!” She raises her voice unnecessarily as she glances towards the bar, “I need a room for the night. A good meal and more of this wonderful wine please.”

Turning back to the guys, she continues to talk giving little time for anyone to respond to anything she has said.

“Well if case you were wondering,” she said suddenly and surprisingly lowering her voice a little, “my skills are not much on combat. I prefer to leave that to those bigger than me. My skills tend towards those that benefit from my small stature and my skill with locks and traps.”

“So,” she continues raising her voice to it’s previous level, “we leave in the morning! Sweet! I love an adventure and this sounds like fun!”

She smiles brightly and pauses to take a breath; the sudden silence invites any responses to her ramblings.

End to bandits!

Aquascales smiled. He was confident that their group was more than capable of this. He had to eliminate the bandit, and everyone else got some reward. Bahamut be pleased that another criminal was dead. Aquascales replied. ,"So... I think we're all going tomorrow." Aquascales looked at Assal. "Unless you can think of anything needed before we do?"

Supplies

Assal shrugged. "From what I know of the region, we will not require a stock of supplies until we reach the ruins themselves, as there are many farming villages between here and our destination, and it will be easy to acquire what we need through fair means or foul," he winked as he continued, "I prefer fair means, however sometimes one man's survival takes priority over another man's comfort."

In the spiders web.

The assassin lay on the floor utterly broken only able to take a few labored breath. He was begging for death it was his only release now. He told everything he knew, he had nothing left he had failed in more ways thn one.

The Man hastily gathered his supplies and everything he needed oil, knifes, rope, Bolts, poison and most importantly acid for this mission it may be his greatest weapon in the fight to come. He knew he had rushed things and sent the Adventures into a trap, he could gauge thier mettle but thier adversary was the best the man had ever known. He had no time to waste he tied a bandana around his exposed arm to cover up his tattoo, he knew if the orc bard saw it he would be found out. The man looked back at the assassin before he left, with a stern face betrayed by a small grin he said simply "thanks." He pointed his right arm at the man and from his hand shot a bolt that pierced right through the mans skull. The assassin finaly found the relief he was looking for but the real game had just begun.

Meeting the gang.

Oswald saw the group and the enterance of the short lady.
"The short ones always have the stickiest fingers." He looked over at the kobold "ok not always." then looked at himself only standing less the five feet tall and the "borrowed" books of his "but most the time."

This would be an excellent adventure for Oswald anything that involved killing was great for oswald given his talents, and this would be a good chance to try out his new talents.

Oswald took everything in and gathered his thoughts something seemed odd The Kobold had is righteous reasons.
The warrior had his, The bard was passed out but most likely just wanted some new stories. But the small ones motives were unclear and this is something that would just not do for Oswald.

"So beamy, what do you have to gain from this quest?"

Beamy?

Moonbeam looked up at Oswald and smiled, at first.

“Well you see, I like adventure and really I…” she trailed off and frowned, “.. eh, what? Beamy? No, no, no! Weren’t you paying attention? I said call me Moon or Moonbeam. Beamy? Just wont do at all! By the way, what is your name sir?”

She looked him up and down, mostly up, and raised an eyebrow as she waited for his reply. She was trying to figure out his role in this quest.

Food?

Aquascales sat listening to the conversation. Everyone seemed pretty occupied at the moment. With Moonbeam seemingly annoyed at being called Beamy, everyone didn't seem to be paying any attention to Aquascales. A relieving change. With the Then the thought dawned on him that in all the commotion, he had forgotten to get his mutton pastries. He looked around, and was suprised to notice that they were still on the bar counter., " Well, I'm going to go get my food", Aquascales said.,"Does anyone else want anything?" (If asks him to get anything anyting Aquascales will politely go and get it for them)

Response

" Well, I'm going to go get my food", Aquascales said.,"Does anyone else want anything?"
Moonbeam turned at his questions and smiled brightly at him.

“Oh, well yes you could,” she said, “I would love one of those wonderful pastries I believe they make here. Thank you!”

She turned back briefly to Oswald waiting to learn who he was and what his purpose was among the group.

Oswald took satisfaction in the frown the lady wore. He simply pushed buttons because they were there to be pushed, just to see the reactions people gave.

"whats yours your name sir?" he smiled and gave a very simple answer "my name is Oswald, and I heal anything."

The little man found it took satisfaction in what he did Oswald didnt really act according to most priest or holy men. He found little pleasure in churches or monastaries but rather people. He was short when he spoke for he always valued listening as a much higher trait.

"I could go for a pastry right about now..." he flipped a coin to the kobold "no such thing as a free meal ya know." looking back at the lady and smiling.

"As for supplies, rest assured I DO heal everything hahaha." Oswald looked around at the assorted crew of orcs, humans, kobolds and one very beautiful petite lady.
He felt more at home then he had in a long while.

"However you never finishing saying why you wish to come...Beamy."

Time to eat

"However you never finishing saying why you wish to come...Beamy."
“The name is Moonbeam,” she said, her smile slipping into a frown, “excuse me, I must go eat.”

Turning her back on him she slipped through the crowd; unnoticed she slipped a small purse off of one of the local patrons. Hefting it as she got to the bar where Aqua was and her waiting pastry she smiled at him and paid for her new glass of wine and her pastry with coin from her ‘new’ purse. The rude healer was right, no such thing as a free meal.

Dinner

"Excuse me one moment," Aquascales said to Moonbeam. Aquascales quickly got up, before sliding through the to Oswald. "Here you go," Aquascales said as he delivered the pastries. Aquascales, quickly turned around and shifted through the people back toward the counter, before sitting down beside Moonbeam. "Would you be able to help me learn to disable traps and be stealthy?". Aquascales asked her. "Kobolds are naturally gifted in that. Besides I'd rather be the one being shot at over anyone else."

"Would you be able to help me learn to disable traps and be stealthy?". Aquascales asked her. "Kobolds are naturally gifted in that. Besides I'd rather be the one being shot at over anyone else."
“You want to be shot at?” she asked incredulously, “me I prefer to Not be the one getting attacked. I prefer to stay hidden and I only hurt people if I have to. I can probably show you a thing or two about traps and such, if the needs arrives. If I go, not sure what this adventure is about really. I just looking for some fun; so far it hasn’t been much fun.”

She glanced over towards Oswald; he seemed either rude or a bit touched in the head, she wasn’t sure which yet.

Her attention turned to the steaming pastry sitting on the counter before her, her eyes got a wicked gleam and she smiled brightly as she picked up her utensils and dug into it greedily.
