gems? what gems

other than basic clothing and armor (yes magical apparel worn under Armor or clothing has been removed) I'm pretty sure we've had all our items removed.

Okayyyydeeethennnn ...

Kurok is gonna try something, but first:

Are his hands bound in front of him or behind him? Is there a binding link between the bindings at wrists and ankles? I, at least, am not clear on that. It will definitely affect his attempt ...

Also, I hope that she who unbound the others (Elessarae?) heard Kurok's initial sugestion to include the "fuzzy one over there" in their efforts, since he is the same circumstances they are.

I believe he mentioned this soon after they awoke, but I can understand if grogginess affects short-term memory, or if not all of them heard ...

chains

Kurok's hands and feet are bound by chains, but those chains are not connected. His hands are bound behind his back.

On a side note, I was contacted by Valimar and he will get an internet connection in the coming weekend. He should be back shortly. For the continuation of the game, we'll act as if he participated in the last battle and got captured like the rest of you.

How far are we from the goblin tents, and anything else flammable?

Another question ... for the group:

Has anyone but me noticed that we were not killed outright when captured?

Methinks there's a reason for that. It most likely means our demise may not be so imminent as some might think, me also thinks ...

Ergo: I know we're all low on hit points, but we definitely can't wait until we're at full strength. THAT may mean our demise.

Therefore: Whatever we attempt now may not mean an automatic death and we can afford to take a risk or three ...

So: I have an idea ... (see post)

Well my plan was to wait till night fall, silently kill who ever is guarding the cage, then I can summon fire and set fire to some tents, then we run to escape. ya know? distraction?

Might be a bit difficult

Since we have an ever-changing audience and four additional guards at all the corners. Chances of taking out all four at once without a sound? Not impossible, but slim ...

Then again there's our "audience" ...

Wyrmsting

Yes I was the first to bring it up in my last game post but no one may have read it so I will paste my thought here from the game.

Imprisoned? what the dark hells was going on when did gobbies take prisioners. Something was way off here but as to what that something was the Syl Ranger was yet at a loss.

Humbled.

Yes, Tann, you did. ...

And I apologize for assuming I am the only one who can think. ...

But a fact remains: we have that going in our favor. Now for some more creative thinking that doesn't involve "assumed doom" ...

And, yes, I'm working on it, too.

Not sure if it'll help..

but Thondrek's got a Bull's Strength available, I don't rightly know the strength Dc to break a chain, and I don't really want to look it up to influence anything, but from a in game visual perspective, I take it Kurok looks strong, and perhaps a boost might help. That and coupled with a rage might me enough.

Could also depending on Kurok's actions (which I'll await your posting to see) Kelgore's Firebolt your bonds (chain) in an effort to weaken them, or better still dimension hop you out of the chains, and right into or still onto an orc or gobbo.

Just running through some more creative ideas by you all.

hmmm

With the sun's rays now being up, midnight has come and gone and though rest does not replenish spells /day abilities, such as my quick cast and freebie 0 level's should have replenished.

I can get away long enough to make it to the weapon/ shield rack, but even then, a 4hp poorly armed and vastly outnumbered Khord aint' gonna do much help.

I could also utilize Mage hand or Open/Close if anyone has any suggestions or Ghost Sound to imitate a goblin or something. Maybe shout a command to bring us to 'Bootskull?" I don' know. It's early, I'm tired after working all night...(so wouldthat be late for me?) and need to think more on this.. Still anxious for Wyrmsting's plan though.

The reason Kuroks's plan isn't made common knowledge ...

I noticed that the DM didn't say they left with the dawn, so I'm thiinking they're still there, watching and waiting -- for something. kurok's thinking may be that a lengthy "sotto voce" whispered conversation would be a tip off to our orcish audience that a plan of action is in progress. Kurok speaks orc, so there's a possibility that one or more of them at least understands Common or Khordish.

So the best Kurok can hope for is to quickly warn the others to be ready to dake advantage of whatever action or reaction he can elicit ...

As a personal aside:
What happens if we don't demand to see Bootskull, thus notifying him/her of our approach (albeit as prisoners)? What happens if we go to Bootskull, en mass, uninvited and as weak as we are, ignoring or bypassing all the distractions between, and take him (or her) out quickly. This could possibly demoralize the camp. We don't know if he/she is the leader or the leader's champion, but everyone in the camp sure seems to know the name and/or respect him/her (or whatever he/she stands for) ...

Just a thought ...

But first we gotta get out of here. Short of getting someone to open the door of the cage (a keyring?), the potion coupled with Kurok's strength (20) might be worth trying. One thing though. We don't have the potion with us, I don't think ...

ah

I don't really see why 0 level spells would be restored if other spells aren't. Special abilities like quick cast or use of feats are renewed, yes.

and @ Bootskull-idea.
