I posted as well.
I didn't want to delay the game either. Any word from YeOlde?
Sheriffs pump their shotguns regularly? That sounds like something for a different thread, and site!

Heaven Help Us When He Does.
He might lock the rest of the crew up just to keep Willow as his concubine.

What to do.
Okay, so we have not seen the return of YeOlde. I thin kwe need to have an open discussion of what to do at this point. I don't want this game to die now that it has been revived so it has to move forward and I don't want to stall any more. So these are the options I see so far.
1) I can NPC the Professor until YeOlde returns. The other possibility is one of you could take the NPC job so I don't become a deciding voice in the party's actions.
2) I try to get someone to take the character over, either temp or perm. I have not had much luck in that before as people don't want to play other people's characters or I get someone who joins everything and anything then treats it like anime cosplay. Best bet would be to find a Mod or near-mod who can role play and doesn't mind steppin gaway if YO returns.
3) You could just leave Andrew in jail. Murder? Whoa. Sucks to be you dude but we got to go .....
4) We could play with the time/space continuum and have Mr. Bowman disappear or replace him with a new character in jail with a connection to you. (Yeah, I'm not fond of this one but it sometimes has to be done)
I want to have faith that YeOlde will return, but I have waited for others before that have not. So please sound off on this so I know what everyone is thinking.

I could Try to NPC him I guess
I'd need to know more about the character, how exactly would you want me to NPC him as a full time character or a "only in the critical area's" like combat and so on.
Or I could ask around in Trilogy and see if one of my other players there would be willing to NPC him till his return. Keeper of Dragons or Kyle perhaps as they are RL friends.
I too hope YeOlde returns soon as he also plays in my game and I have enjoyed his RP quite alot and again I hope nothing has happened to him. After this past month I know how quickly medical issues can hit and throw one off track.
Lets hope if he returns or not that he is at least ok.

Just read Al's Post
...and I got a bad feeling that I'm about to enter a bidding war with pretty boy....that's going to be an uncomfortable trip back.
As for Ye Olde, I think asking someone experienced to step in would be a good idea.

Alternatively
I could NPC Andrew until YeOlde returned. We've discussed his past a little in conjunction with Wyatt.

Yup... I figure since Brom's got some of the inside skinny (and, most importantly, is willing to do it) on the Wyatt/Andrew connection it might be a good idea to let him NPC the Prof until YO gets back (if, Gods forbid, the man doesn't return, though, there's always the "Mod step-in" manuever or the "oops, Andy done went and got hisself kilt!/recruit new PC" route...)
I'd offer to do it myself but... time/reliability and all that, you know?

Its all good to me
What's best for the game is my stance, always has been, always will be, and that call is made by the DM.
I just don't want the game to stop again as this game, along with CWWLLO and Bromern's Cyberpunk one, have to date been my favorites as a player.
