.
wait a minute i thought it went like this
line of goblins, gnolls,
xaris and rest
goblins
bart and them
if it is just like this:
xaris and others
gnolls,goblins
goblins
talus, bart etc
then i will skip the tangle foot bag and throw the thunder stone. that will mess a lot of those guys up hopefully. and i will aim at the 15 foot mark with the thunder stone, getting as many gnolls as I can.

Kaelyn answered that a few days ago.
The north gate is still open, but the east is closed, according to his post.

Thank you
Why thank you, very much Kaelyn. It is very gratifying to know that my efforts have been noted, though I will not let it go to my head
I have really been interested in getting into her character. She is quite different from the type of character I usually play. Trying to see things from her point of view has cost me some hours of reflection on who she is and how she would react.
I am having lots of fun with her..

It was a while ago so I don't really remember. But didn't Xaris trade the belt with the critter at the bottom of that dungeon? (the one in which we rescued the small boy and in which Artanis went 'boom'... )

I just checked and I was wrong.
There was a magical belt that Xaris traded, but this other one came from the Sharran werewolf.
I also discovered that the belt offers a +1 bonus to Xaris' strength. It's listed on p.43 of the game thread.

Another question
Kaelyn, Fireball is not just a circle effect but a globe isn't it. If expliose in a sphereical shape doesn't it?
If so, can I place the center point in the air so that only part of the sphere toughed the ground.

The problem
With doing that is making sure that the globular (yes, as far as I know, you are right about that) explosion of flame only touches the ground at one point. I suppose firing it about twenty feet off the ground would engulf a small section (like a 10x10 square) of enemies, while those over 5-ft might actually take harm from the outer area of the explosion (as technically speaking, they occupy a corner of the square above them, I guess?).
It's really a DM call whether they might be toasted also, but it's your call to throw the fireball up there, which I think would explode in such a way that the ground troops would be impacted. Just don't aim for me, or the quasi-avian-drow-elfish thingy now suspended in the air by her own power.

More questions..
Yes Fireball is globular... Yes you can target something in the middle of the air, or even just a point in space anywhere within your range to aim for. So while it's thoretically possible for only a portion of the bottom part of the global explosion to encompass 'some' enemy, (and I'll do the math to figure out ratios and yadda yadda to determine how many should you actively post as such) but likely you'll End up hitting the two drow in the air no matter where you fire a fireball if its point of detonation is aerial in nature.)
