Sir I came here to tank, not to plan(k).
...it works in dwarvish I promise
But yeah I'll wait for the group to move and just hang along until my stuff's needed. Not at home for a couple days tho.

I'm sorry I thought we were taking a brief hiatus to give some people that were busy irl a chance to clear up some time for posting. If we want to continue with only a couple posting, we can do that I guess. I just don't mind waiting for others to return.

Continuing
We have at least 4, maybe 5, people that are posting now. I don't know when/if anyone of the others will come back. So if we want the game to continue I think we go with what we have. It is enough. If we wait we may be waiting a long time.
As for tanking v. planking, if I understand the concept correctly, there is some basic information I need about what the group is doing. I don't like making assumptions - for example, which side of the line of hills you follow or who is in the lead - inc ase I get it wrong. But I can do so and just move things along. Just know that if I do so you get sort of stuck with what I post. The more information you as a group can give me the better. In this case, casting Pass Without a Trace was mentioned but I really need to know when that is done. If done at the road, which would be a logical assumption from what was said, the spell will have worn off by the time you get to the Hangman Tree. If cast a later, which would make more sense in some ways, exactly when might make a bif difference.

Okay we move forward. I'll get a post up soon, but is there a map? You're asking about positions but I'm not able to know without something, even a rough map, to focus on and see what's what.

Map . . . .Huh
Made a map and took a picture of it like I have in the past. But now when I try and email it to myself my laptop can't open and display it like it has with every other image or map I've made. I don't know why. Weird. But I have the map made. I will try again with a different computer tomorrow.
In the meantime - a word picture.
As you look down the road it travels through the woods.
To your right is the Hreusen River about 15-20 feet away through the woods.
To your left is the Barren Woods. Big, old trees as far as the eye can see.
On the left side of the road and going back into the woods is a large 20x20x20 boulder. ,Behind it apears to be a small hill Essentially imagine a line of hills going away from the road on the left - perpendicular to the road. They appear rugged and don't climb out of the woods. Rocky, but not high. You think this is the case based on what Captain Rambolt said and what you think you can see, but you really don't ssee much because of the trees. You see trees. And more trees. And then some more trees.

Well I hoped to have a post up by the end of this weekend, but life got in the way.
If you are ready to post an update, please go ahead and assume the monk is just observing the 'bird talk' but staying alert for any thing out of the norm, and looking about for any signs of danger.

Bye folks!
I'm out friends. Thanks for the gaming. All the best with your quest to bring justice to these bandits and make some cash!
Nomad, Thanks for having me and gaming with me the last couple of years. I have left Uthal in your campaign. Do as thou wilt!
Cheers

Waiting and forgetting
So the longer waits for updates often make me forget this place which is why I often feel quilty and honestly when I do remember to check in the forum's often cranky too. If we were on like Discord or something I could have on me more easily (including notifications) this wouldn't be a problem but rn I just feel like when things do start moving I'd be a hindrance. So since I'd forget to post anyway I'll just drop off, I'm sorry.

Sadness and ending
It does seem that the posts have gotten fuirther and fiurther between. A bit of it was my own fault - life in the last few months got crazy. But it also seemed that I haven't been able to get people to post consistently as players. Or I would get posts i couldn't do much with as a DM. All of which means . . . that it seems the time has come to pull the plug on the Blacktooth Ridge. I am sad to see it go - it started as a purchased module but progressed from there into something of my own. And I was enjoying the story. But without an active base it was hard to keep up. And so it seems to end here.
If some of you want to continue I would pledge to do a post a week. I think I am past the craziness that messed that up so I can do that pretty easily most of the time. If people ask for it I would do it - as I truly love play by post. But for now we will call the game here.

Sadness
Well Nomad I'm truly sorry to see this game ending, but totally understand. If you by some chance decide to run a game on Discord, let me know I could be interested.

Sad...
Sad to see this game come to an end, but it does seem as though the fire has at long last gone out. I know my own frenetic schedule has kept me from posting as I would have liked. It feels like the end of an era in many ways. Warmest wishes to you, and to the inn.
