En route!

Started a post yesterday but the stomach-oogies got the better of me and I ended up snoozing and feeling like general yuck rather than posting. Feeling better today, expect Tochi shortly.

Part 1

Okay... I went ahead and finished up the bit I had started yesterday, just to keep things moving. I've got more in the works for the 1925 time-frame, now, and will have that posted soon.

Oh... and perhaps another scene or two from the Coronado.

All righty, then!

Second part of Tochi's "party post" is up... a couple of additional thoughts, there:

1) There's plenty of room for "fluffiness" throughout, I think. Share a drink, some chit-chat, etc.

2) Tochi's playing "casual as he can" (although Kasru's personality is most certainly coming into play). I see him, as mentioned in post, trying to keep things light where conversation and such goes but, at the same time, most certainly making observations and mental notes regarding how each of the Ambassadors behave and interact with the crew and each other)... he'll likely want to converse with Silas about some of these things after the Ambassadors have returned to their rooms. (Be that immediately following the party or sometime later (following day, etc).

3) Following all of the reception hubbub, Tochi's plans are to return to his own quarters (unless a better offer is tendered, of course)... Long day... Needy sleepy!

Next up... Silver screen time!!!

sweet

Fun reads, as always. Love the intrigue.

And yes... D'Lar is perhaps more clever than some might suspect from the reputation that his people have. I find him to be a very interesting character.

:D

Thanks! Glad you approve!

Yeah... Tochi's kind of come to something of a revelation where the Ambassadors are concerned, I think. Not one that he's entirely sure of, just yet, but I think he's just seen the flip side of the coin he saw from these two on the Starbase and the balance of his trust might have shifted just a skoash. He's definitely curious as to what Jacobs and Farr might be experiencing out of the rest of the delegation... and, of course, what Silas' thoughts might be. There could be room for an "aside conversation" in this, boss, if you'd care to play it out, now, as opposed to "waiting for the next day."

sure

I think that after the reception would be better than waiting until the next day.

Agreed...

Tochi might consider waiting to bring it up at a staff meeting, but, in the end, it'd probably get the better of him and he'd end up popping in on the Captain in the middle of the night anyway...

"We're sorry to wake you, Silas, but... well, we noticed some things at the reception earlier that just might be of some importance where his summit is concerned... Got any Andorian women in here?"

So, I've gone and done it again.

I've added Asovil's remarks to Tochi as well as her take from "afar" on the events that Olan posted.

I am open to any type of interaction between characters as each of you arrive, playing out the first few minutes of the reception, but Asovil will not breach protocol by intruding upon a superior officer's space. So, you'll need to have your characters instigate.

well

I've put Drake's perspective pretty clearly out there. He'll keep things to polite chat; he won't ignore any of the officers, but he will intentionally have little of substance to say. Mostly, he's doing his best to play nice in a role that he's really not terribly suited for.

More than anything, the reception was an excuse to give another little look in to the personalities of the ambassadors.

Quick question.

Who is allowed to post as the ambassadors? Is that being reserved for you and Eol?

Brom and the Ambassadors

Watch out! He'll put them in Sickbay or the Brig or Worse!

well

The ambassadors are NPCs, but they are also plot devices. I'm okay with others posting for them, but I'd appreciate you running it past me or Eol first, just to make sure that we stay on the same page.

Absotively, posilutley!

If there are any NPCs in game that folks want to take a run at in post, feel free! Some of the more important NPCs (like the ambassadors) will likely require some consultation with the GM or myself, but, as for just about every other NPC, long as their place in the posts makes sense and you "stay true" to the character, knock yourselves out!

Also, I realize that some of you might be out there thinking that you've really got nothing to post about. Maybe you're feeling too much like the Ambassadorial thing is all that's going on... maybe you can't come up with an idea to get a post going... I dunno... been plenty of times I struggled to post for many reasons... Anyway, what I'm saying is that, if you want to post but, for whatever reason are having a hard time coming up with something, please just let me know and I'll do the best I can to help you come up with something!
