Hmm...

Mass teleport? Can't think of anything else...

Does it even look like Ertain anymore? I mean, Marius has been all around the country as well is outside of it on his travels. Remind him of any place he's been to?

Looooook! I posted!

and to think ~ it's Monday!

I'm happy to backpost conversations. It was strange, I'm not usually the first one to get my post up, so it felt like I was talking to myself for the most part.

PS ~ Anyone else read Order of the Stick? I was reminded of Banjo, Elan's deity when you put up the pink puppet description, Almerin! Heheh!

Next!

Alright, my post is up! Sorry if it sounds a bit list-ey. I've really never done D&D like this before. :-/

coolness

Nice to see such quick replies. And good to see that my description of the doll gave the right impression.

And Raven, this doesn't look like any place Marius has ever been, though it does seem familiar in a strange way. Like I stated in my update: the town as you see it now reminds you all of the town with the burning pyre, but it is certainly not identical.

bummer

Sorry for not posting yet guys. I've down with a nasty flu and too tired to think. I'll try to post tomorrow or Tuesday, but should you feel like moving the game forward Almerin, please do so. My post won't change anything really.

First, a translation of the French in my post. Chateau Perdre Dans les Bois, mean Castle Lost in the Woods or house lost in the woods...your choice.

Second, the whole let's sleep on it thing. The first is,we're all fatigued and second, spell casters ned 8 hours to replenish their spells.

Questions, comments, concerns? I look forward to seeing everyone's responses.

update

Alright... about this week's update:

1) I'm going to wait with updating until Thursday, giving everybody the opportunity to reply to Arvin (Phelan) concerning approaching the town or not. This is the group's decision, not mine to make. You can also take this opportunity to do something else (think of a tactic of approaching the town if necessary / scouting ahead / doing something with the doll in the tree / refresh spell list / build the Eiffeltower out of twigs).

2) I can't look into your agendas, but if you are going to post something that involves responses, or something that will evoke responses than please post before the weekend. You give people the time to reply before Monday comes. Monday is my best day for updating, since the other days tend to get occupied pretty fast.

3) I haven't heard from Riaucard. I sent him a PM, but no reply yet. No post without a heads up means disinterest for all I know, and if it happens a second time I'm going to look for a replacement. It's too early in the game to skip a post without a notice.
I know life outside the forums is way more important, but I need to understand why you don't post IF you don't post. Also, asking for a delay is very possible, but on the same terms.

hmm

Tomorrow is update-day. If we don't get any more reactions I'm going to assume you guys are heading towards the town as a group, against Arvin's suggestion to stay out in the open. Having the prospect of a good bed might be, in contrast to sleeping in the woods one more night, a good enough reason to forget being overly cautious.

Also, I'm going to open up a recruitment for another player if Riaucard hasn't posted by then. If there is one thing I can't stand it's disappearing at the start of an adventure without notice.

2 pennies

My vote is to stay in the woods IF Arvin can use his Leomund's Hut spell. I would also like to leave a gold piece at the doll the next day if searching around thebase of the tree/the puppet proves an offering container of some type.

Also: does this mean that you will be updating Monday as well?

I vote for village

Err... Don't mean to be rude here or anything, but I see absolutely no reason for the group to stay in the woods for the night. It's just another village with obviously people still in it.

It would be quite odd and paranoid in my opinion for us to start suspecting every village or town out there, don't you think? Like Almerin said it offers a warm bed, a warm meal and perhaps even a drink or three versus the idea of staying in the forest even if we'd have magical beds and food available.

Marius definitely will head for the village. Sorry to be seemingly against your ideas all the time. That's not my intention and I promise it won't last through the whole game. But right now I see nothing saying we shouldn't go into the village.

for once...

...Mylos shares Marius' view and is all up for entering the village, if not a bit cautiously, but I think we should go explore. There might be some gold too.

I think ...

My update this evening will not be overly long... I think. Your reactions don't have to be either. So updating on Monday is a possibility, but not a necessity for the upcoming week. We will see what happens.

Ayrn has opted a spot in this game, in Riaucard's place. I gave him the green light, and I'll PM Riau about the situation.
