As stated earlier...
We are not using memorization rules. You have your total spells per day that you can cast, but you don't need to prep them in advance.

No
That is memorization, a system we are not using for spell casters.

Okay
So my character can just go ahead and cast spells on the fly depending upon the circumstances he faces, until he has used 4 spells for the day!
Gotcha!

Correct
That's right. Such is the case for yourself, for Ja'aron, and for Elberon, as well as any other caster that may arrive in our midst, should it happen.

To move on
To avoid lag time for something like this, I'll be updating Wednesday. Hope to see a post in from Brundel, but right now is not an ideal time to get caught up on wait time. Being in a city or town with lots for you guys to do independently of one another would be

Next update
I'll be getting at this on Monday or Tuesday, so try to have all posts in before then. Alternatively, since this largely a positioning movement from the group, if votes come in to just get there, I can do this tomorrow.
Also, been adding pieces of information to Q/A page one, so keep an eye on it from time to time to see how things start to take shape a bit more.

Bailox
Bailox is ready to move out. Tek, do we need to post for the chase, or will your next update be our coming upon the enemy? I didn't feel the need to post anything else for Bailox until we catch them, I guess.

ja'aron
is ready to go as well. I'll take in the scope of things as we reach the apex of the hill (using the rise for cover to view) and or follow Mae's map. (in case I need to prep a spell pre combat) that's about it. (but I can always backpost the spellcast or pm you)

question
10 yards from where we are lay the captives.. are there any bandits right by them?
would it be possible (I realize someone may notice or spot or what not) for someone to slip in cut the binds and free them? I believe I have access to silence. I could silence the entire area leading up to the captives, so even if they spoke or yelled or said something in surprise noone would hear it or hear whomever approaching or sneaking them out.
I figure this is the part where we're all sitting around the table talking about options.. just as in game we're all hiding behind the rocks doing the same..

Planning
Agreed; might as well make our plan here in the Q/A.
I fully agree about getting the captives out; Silence would be excellent to do this while someone creates a distraction to keep their eyes off the captives too. But we should definitely get them out before combat starts; I imagine they'd be used as human shields or for bargaining at swordpoint if the enemy has time to react.
Ideas on said distraction, anyone?
Once we hammer out that part, when we're ready to attack, my intention is to rain some death with a few arrows, then draw the long sword and enter melee range. When the melee gets up close and personal, I'll switch to short sword and shield. Good ol' hunting knife if it gets any closer up than that. As for contingencies, if anyone starts getting hammered too hard, I will make every effort to switch to their target to give them breathing room. I'm doing basic tanking here; switching to the aid of anyone who starts getting pounded too badly. Any buffs and heals that can be provided will be appreciated.
So, weapon progresion at a glance: Longbow-->Long sword-->Short sword + shield-->Hunting knife
That's the meat of my strategy for Bailox. Any refinements or suggestions are welcome. Let's do this. Rawr.
