Let's see...

I'm not entirely sure how the terrain is like, but pending trees, would gliding from tree to tree somewhat roughly match pace to lizards?

Granted, given that Vi is tired, 'flying' might not be the best idea for her... But I get the equal impression that she doesn't really like riding. I'm sure given her condition she could be convinced without trouble though. (though flip side could be that the physical activity might help her feel awake enough to keep up. I dunno)

Either way, Violet would definitely suggest for lizards so that they can catch up faster. Their job was to keep up with and help protect Weldon as needed after all, and they can't do that if they're far behind.

mounts

i'm hopping to get a post up thursday or friday. i got swamped with some knitting i'm trying to get done for a friends birthday.

but for the mounts i think the lizards are good idea. they'll be faster then wagons an let us get the quarry faster.

but the wagons we can haul more people an if attacked' we'd have some avalable cover to use. but i'm still for the mounts...

i just hope no one gets motion sick from teh ride...

Well...

Given Master Welldon departed without us, we actually don't have wagons. Options are lizard or no lizard

Gliding vs riding

Violet would not be able to keep up with a lizard while gliding even if she was feeling awesome and she had lots of tree cover.

And the decision is indeed between rding a lizard or walking. No wagons available.

Lizards it is

I'm ruling you guys agree on taking lizards. Ribbon adds that riding lizards is way more exciting!

Post accordingly.

Thanks!

Sharing and roleplaying

Reralae, Violet and Ribbon can share a lizard. It won't go quite as fast, but definitely faster than walking... and less tiring.

Regarding roleplaying the journey to the Quarry, my last post already places you at the Quarry with a question asked to a mole miner. You are welcome to add your character's observations/thoughts during the ride to the Quarry, but as far as "action" goes, it was a uneventful yet beautiful ride to the Quarry. The ride took you down into a canyon and up out of it and up further to the crest of a tall hill. So the terrain was rough, mostly rock.

My next post will move you into dialogue with Master Tigwyn.

Catch-up

Sorry for the absence. Sick kid. Question.
Should I edit the post with responses or make a new post?

Hey! Look at this!

Hey! No sure who is still around and if you are still interested in playing.

First, sorry. I totally did what I strongly dislike players doing... not posting with no explanation why. Sorry. I don't have any excuses for why I didn't say anything. Just sorry. :-/

Second, chime in if you are still around and interested. I haven't seen you, Bodkin, around in a long while. Not sure if you are still here. I hope so. Reralae and Astrid, I know I've seen you two on the boards from time to time. Not sure if you're still interested. If so, awesome. If not, no worries.

Third, if you are still game, then I've updated. :-) A you should feel free to post as well. I will say that we are entering into the last phase of the adventure... maybe three encounters left or so... so, likely, the game could take us to October to finish up.

Basically, though, Tigwyn is looking for you to somehow deal with Shadow and Ratrug, preferably quickly so as not to interrupt the quarry's important work. I would prefer it if the group stuck together in whatever plan you come up with. Tigwyn thinks the plan to scout out Shadow's Roost is a good first start.

Fourth, I've got a baby coming... probably within the next two weeks. So, my posting will be a bit sketchy still, but likely better than the last two months.

Anyway, that's where things are at. Let me know what's going on for you.

Thanks!
Ayrn

questions

plans?

i cant see sending fenir with the group to scout shadow's den.

is thier a job we could give him? mabey helping with something in the quarry?

i had a thought if we wait till shadow comes to the quarry an launch a weighted net from off of the quarry walls would we be able to capture him?

Separate Plans...

Astrid, as noted above, I would most definitely prefer it if the group stayed together. Also, Tigwyn has said that he sent some of his miners to go speak with Shadow and that they haven't returned... so, separating the team might be unwise (strength in numbers and all that).

That is not to say that your idea of a weighed net is a bad one. If the team decides to go this way, you could give it a try.

I'm going to give Reralae a week to reply here and see if we'll be moving this story forward.

Thanks!
Ayrn

Approaching baby time... in 10, 9, 8, 7...

So, my wife tells me that baby delivery time is imminent. Expect that I will likely drop off the radar sometime within the next week.
Peace,
