Thoughts and Ponderings
To be clear - the fortress the orc speaks of is likely the one we are seeking, right? And there is a mysterious "him" who seems to be in charge of things - above the rank of the orc leaderof the fortress, right?
To Tom Summorner:
Our DM Wrote: "And what of this mysterious item the orcs were so closely guarding? It must be something very precious and important to them and 'him'-whoever 'he' is. If Azax and Legion could take it from them, it may deal a blow to the orcs and this mysterious boss of theirs. Would they attempt to steal it along with the princess' antidote?"
I think there seems to be another question as well - is the King (as in the King who just sent us on a mission to save his daughter) also ill? Is his medicine the "thing?" If not, or even if it is, this might be another target as well. It seems to me pretty obvious that we would go after the antidote #1 but get the other as well if possible. But that depends on what we see when we get there.
Two questions from my side:
1. Tghe orc told us a general location of the thing but it didn't say where the antidote is. Do we ask that? The question here seems to be based on #2 below. If we let him go do we want to have someone out there that knows we are coming for the antidote?
2. What about the orc? Azax isn't inclined to kill the little thing in cold blood. And it did tell us a lot of information, including some we can confirm is true. (Princess stuff) I'm inclined to let him go. Perhaps we tie him loosely so we get a head start but so that he isn't trapped long term. We can take his weapons.
What do you think?

To clarify, Nomad:
Yep, the orc was talking about the stronghold you're going to (princess' antidote's stronghold). And yep, the mysterious 'him' is way higher up than the boss of the stronghold. The boss of the stronghold is a gnat in rank comparison lol. That's how much higher up 'he' is.

Honestly Legion prolly wouldn't mind just offing the orc but just tying him up and looting his tied-up ass would do if killing him would be a nope. Also Legion does not speak orcish lol.

@Tom
What about going after the mysterious item? I think Nomad might want to do it. What about you?

Azax wouldn't stop you from offing him if you did so, but he wouldn't vote for it either. I'll probably just post the tie-up and we can keep moving. Azax will translate it all for you.
As for going after the other item - I suspect that is a "wait-and-see" sort of thing. Until we are there it is hard to know what we want to do, but yeah, if possible Azax would go for it. But that is a big if. I ee no reason the two of us can't take on a fortress, right?

Legion has his "mission takes priority" protocol so he'd not be into taking on the fortress unless necessary for the job at hand tbh.

Mission
But isn't the mission to get the antidote? I think the antidote is in the fortress. So we end up going into the fortress anyway, don't we? Or did I miss something?
Either way, I think we go there looking for the antidote and see what we see. It may be possible to get this other thing and it may not. But the mission comes first. I don't Azax would argue with that.

Language
One more thing - Azax would speak to Legion with the orc there in something other than common if possible. Azax knows Common, Orc and Elvish. By any chance does Legion know elvish? If so, that is what Azax would have used in that last post when talking in front of the little orc.
And when they leave he will explain to Legion everything the orc said.

It's more or less night time now. Are Azax and Legion going to continue, or set up camp and rest for the night?

night time, day time, anytime
Set up camp, I suppose as Azax needs a rest. As an Owlin he in't worried about nighttime, but even an owl has to sleep.
Speeking of sleep . . . does Legion need to sleep? And does he have darkvision?

@Nomad
Just Googled:
Warforged don't need sleep and they do have darkvision (up to 60ft).

Yes elvish is a language the metal man speaks as he was built by elves back in the day. And no I don't think they have to sleep, though he does need to spend 6 hours in an inactive state (basically he needs to stand still for that time to get rest but he can still see and hear normally) . I see no mention of darkvision on my sheet nor in the warforged rules - like I think it would make sense to warforged to have it but idk where Dragon got it from?

Oops, might have misread lol. Googled it again and Tom's right. No darkvision.
And to answer your question, Tom, yes the orc did have arrows. He also had a dagger and a short sword.
Are you going to loot the orcs you killed and the orc you tied up? If so, this is what you find on them (altogether in total):
3 draconias, 10 stagmas and 20 leiches (currency of the realm. I'll explain more in a minute)
3 quivers of arrows. 1 full, the other 2 half full. (That's including the one from the orc you tied up)
5 daggers (yep, including the one from the orc you tied up)
7 lots of rations (including hard, dried jerky, biscuits and bread that's a bit mouldy)
A 30ft length of rope
Flint and iron pyrites (for starting campfires)

Currency
So...I've decided to move away from the generic platinum, gold, silver and bronze and get creative and make up my own names for the different coins:
Draconia: Highest value. 1 draconia is worth 100 leich. The coin has a picture of a dragon holding a sword on one side and dragon's head (just the head, so a side view profile) on the other.
Stagma: second highest value. 1 coin is worth 50 leich. Coin has a picture of a stag standing on a hill one side and on the other, the head of a stag looking straight at the viewer with symmetrical horns.
Leich: lowest value. Takes 100 leich to make 1 draconia and 50 leich to make 1 stagma. Coin has a picture of an oak tree on one side and a raven in flight on the other.
Hope that made sense lol.

Just like travelling . . . currency exchange!
I'm fine with the coinage thing. Just expect ot have to explain that a lot. I remember gold, silver, etc. Draconia and Leich? Not so much. So just be warned that I won't get it quickly.
