Oh darn
Well Brom, I appreciate being bunked with Crane, that could have lead to all kinds of interaction there. I mean Cook would have access to talk to Crane, since she couldn't be denied access to her own quarters.
But, back a ways, on Page 6 of the game thread, I had already posted the Cook was paired up with PO Leah Finnley. Since NCOs are two to quarters, there isnt room for Crane then. I mean your assignment makes more sense really; CPOs sharing quarters.
I wish I hadn't posted that before. Had a whole night of the two of them drinking.
Ah well, opportunity missed.
Edit: unless it is permissible with the GMs that I edit my earlier post to change my room mate? Eh?

That'll work
I'm okay with a retroactive edit.

Crane & Cook roommates
Ok, I will edit my earlier post since it didn't really affect anything; mostly just fluff.
So Brom, we are a go for Crane and Cook to share quarters; this means there will probably be a post about Cook returning to her quarters.
Edit: OK I edited my previous post to change Crane to Cook's roommate. Brom, expect a PM shortly.

And, Boo Boo, you have a PM in response.
McTavish, I don't know if you missed this, but the delegate called out to you. I didn't want to continue posting that D'Lar feels ignored or thinks you didn't hear, so I thought I'd bring it to your attention here first.
"Interesting," D'Lar mutters while still looking towards the Chief Engineer. Quite suddenly calling out, he attempts to get McTavish's attention. "Lieutenant McTavish! Please join us, I would enjoy learning more about this vessel we are guests upon."
Glancing over her shoulder, Asovil absent-mindedly brushes her hair over her right ear and awaits the officer's response.

Still here!
Dio is desperately trying to stay sharp through his first shift at con, and trying to put on a good face/repair the impression he made on his captain the first day. The lt is pretty much convinced the captain hates him/thinks Dio is a spy and his only hope is to be far too valuable to kick off the ship. But he's also had a hella rough 2 days for the dude and is basically running on espresso and stubbornness. The moment his shift ends, he's going to his room and falling flat on his face before his alpha-shift in the morning.
It's the tail end of video-game-convention season IRL for me, and I've been overseeing some massive overhauls to my department the last few months (with only one lead to keep an eye on 14 people YAY).
I should have a short fluf post up shortly for the Bridge. I'd originally intended for Lt Moriden to show up and sandbag Dio into attending the diplomatic event, but I think she'll show mercy this time.

Happy Monday!
Got myself distracted with other things, this weekend (if you've seen my Facebook page, you know what I'm talking about), but am now revving back up the post-machine. Hoping to have a little something or something s tacked up soon-like.
Hope everyone else had a great weekend.

Thankee, sir! Had a bunch of fun making that... and it only took me a week or so to get it from concept to completion (plus it turned out WAAAAAAY better than I had originally imagined it might)so I was thrilled!
Anyhoo... Tochi post going up now... just some "character-play" from the reception.

I'll have that collaboration post up tonight. One good thing at least.
Between my car accident and my lousy football picks, it has been a rather crappy weekend. The post will cheer me up.

Car accident!?
I hope you're OK. car accidents can leave some pretty indelible prints on more than just your vehicle.

Accident
I'll be fine. No major physical damage, a minor accident. I'm more shaken up emotionally than physically. It happened Saturday, I had trouble sleeping that night. I didn't drive anywhere Sunday, and today when I went to work and then home, I was all jumpy and driving overly cautious. I seemed to expect someone to hit me at any moment. ~sighs~ I hope I can sleep alright tonight.
Still have to arrange to get my car fixed. At least it is still drivable.

Glad you're alright...
...even minor accidents can totally shoot your nerves, though.
Nice post, too, folks. Poor Lauren.

cool
I enjoyed the read. Poor Lauren, indeed.
One note - alcohol is not illegal. Different Star Trek episodes have handled it differently, so this is my ruling:
This is up to the discretion of the commanding officer of a ship. Drake is okay with alcohol use, provided that it is done with moderation, during a crew member's off duty hours. Now, if the ship is in a position where there is a reasonable possibility of crew being called to duty in an emergency basis (i.e. we're touring the neutral zone, the ship is already at yellow alert, etc), or when there are other compelling reasons, then alcohol use is not allowed. Drunkenness is not allowed on board at any point - save that for shore leave. If you have too much to drink, you'd better be sleeping it off in your bunk.
A few drinks at a card game during off duty hours would be no problem.

Alcohol
Yeah, I know it isn't really illegal, but if it has to be left up to the commanding officer's discretion, then it is 'frowned upon' at least. Therefore we can assume there are some ships that don't allow it.
Dana thinks of it as illegal since it isn't allowed everywhere, but she is thankful that Captain Drake allows it, in moderation.
