A thought--or two

Just thought I would mention the following in case I did not make in clear in Brownwyn's post. She does not consider the offer from Lord art to include more than a place to set up as a wizard. i.r. she does not think she was offered a place in the Order of the Sacred Rose. She had been excluded from anyting more than the dinners and certainly doesn not think of herself as one of the "heroes".

Hmm, on second thought, never mind. From her response he probably could not quite realize that considering how she worded her response.

Plans of the Keep...

I'd be happy to help out, since I'm keen to explore a bit more of the 'dundjinni' program, and I have some time on my hands.

Coat of Arms for Bart

A Coat of Arms is one of those things that is part and parcel of being made "noble" One of the things commonly domne as part of a a lord being given lands is that he is awarded his own distinctive coat of arms, now the the country's, not his sovereign lords but his own "Coat of Arms, that includes the shield and its device and outside adornment called supporters, such as the lion and the unicorn on England's coast of are, a base a helment and mantleing above and and other heraldic "stuff".

The actual shield portion has a device on it. The device can be animal, vegetable or mineral or "thing" real or iomaginary. The Royal herald would have made it up with new Lord Gart and the Patent would be recorded in a kingdom book of heraldry. That is all part of becoming a lord.

Yes but Bart has his device. And often the heraldry of minor nobleman incorporated that of their superiors.

In this case it's the griffon (representing Tethyr) and the scarlet rose. For a keep on the outskirts of Tethyr it makes a lot of sense to me. And presumably it would have been done with the cooperation with the Royal Herald.

Heraldic Devices

Usually in heraldry a noble can not use the same Chief Device as the Royal Chief Device.

I started working on drawing up the keep in dundjinni, and, somewhat surprisingly, the keep is actually really quite big. There are 2 levels to it, and then there's the basement which we can fit out with rooms etc.

Anyway, I'm off now to make merry as the new year rolls in. Happy New Year folks.

I've just about finished drawing up the outline of the Keep, and putting in a few odd touches (doors, stables etc.).

I'll email the ground floor of the keep and the individual rooms to you when I'm done, Kaelyn.

New Class

I found a new class to add to my ranger, Scout especially since I took bow as my mean weapon, though I will be working on sword as well.

Keep...

Had to cut down some of the detail, as the more I put in the more unwieldy the program became. Hopefully it'll export successfully and I can send you the jpeg.

I've been around, was planning on reading / posting something somewhere tomorrow lol. Was waiting on those maps you were trying your hand at to see if it would help with the Base of Operations stuff, but I've got more in game posts I can do. Will get on those tomorrow.
