The question being...
With Leadership I can use it once per session...how are you using that in this forum?
Tan, plot points are used either by increasing die steps (e.g. From a d6 to a d8, d8 to a d10, etc.). The higher the starting die, the more plot points you have to expend to increase your step. To go from a d8 to a d10 would take 5 plot points.
Another way plot points are used is to change a die that has already been rolled by spending plot points in a 1=1 ration (e.g. - roll is a 5. Spend 2 plot points to take the roll to a 7).
And yet another way is to effect the storyline or reduce damage from a single die roll. The storyline cost is really ultimately up to the GM, though there is a guideline, and the cost to reduce damage die is equal to the 1=1 ratio as well.
Hope that helps.

Let's hope indeed.
I'll probably try to post something in reference to Fenris' suspicions here in the next day or so. I'm enjoying the interaction between Andrew and Wolf.

right but
Bromern is correct in his description of the plot point use but the Cortex rules changed the system after the serenity rules came out. Now a plot point add a skill die (so if your skill is d10, you get a d10) instead of a step up level. It makes the plot points more valuable as a step up in a die can still produce a roll of 1.
Let me double check the Cortex Rules as no one has used pp since I bought them.

I'm running a tabletop game of Firefly
Where do you get the cortex rule changes Roger? It's probably obvious, but I thought I'd ask. Oh, and if I used leadership when would I be able to use it again?

At the store
Somewhere between Serenity and battlestar galactic the MW rules were generalized into the Cortex System RPG which made Assets a die and changed the plot points. Now I read these awhile ago and I need to look over them again, but the changes made assets and plots points more useful.

Tann
You need to find the source of the problem before you fix the parts, otherwise you could end up wit hteh same thing happening again.

Outside he is directly helping you so the rolls add up, less chance of a botch and faster completion time.

Good
Believe it or not, I like when it is rigged for the players. Better the chances you will find the hidden explosives and not be sucked into the black....
