Before anyone asks, yes Aelistae is now Nightcrawler. ...Except without the fur...and the tail...and the weird costume...

The whole jumping thing is due to some Dimension Stride Boots that she picked up from Firin.

OK and Now?

I had thought a Runner was coming, that way I would not have to leave the group, but I will go with what you posted.

Anyway I will backpost to buying the horse with an added interplay with Lord Bart as to getting a formal letter from him to the Council to take back with her. That way he can make a formal request to them about having her become an emissary for the Elves of Wealdath

$$$

Purchase and layaway requests for Firin:

I would like to buy some Gloves of Eldritch Admixture if he can acquire them...

And send him out to find a pair of gloves of object reading and a warlock's scepter, to be purchased as soon as I have the money.

After the purchase I should have 875g left (including the 100gp gem and assuming I can subtract correctly)

I had thought...

You wanted the horse to make the journey as you presumed the runner could not carry the heavy chest on his own.

If that's contrary to the case, and you were going to lend the runner the horse or some such, feel free to post as such, in which case you can still be there when the options are offered for things needing to be done.

Those Gloves are pretty cool, Deuce (just looked them up).

In other news, can Aelistae purchase an 'oil of bless weapon' from Firin too? And take the spare silvered dagger that's listed in the party loot? (unless anyone else wants it).

Yes. Yes they are.

Random question of the week:

What time of the year is it?

It's January...sorry couldn't resist.

The campaign started in Ches which would correspond to March. I suppose we'd be in Tarsakh/April now (I'm guessing here though).

poor boy

I wish he could cast Schism, and actually concentrate on two conversations at once.

Knowing the language a bit better might help too.

It was a fun last post to read, though, in spite of that...or probably because of that.

Q&A

Is Bronwyn in room with us while we're figuring out who's going to go where?

I can't tell and so I don't know whether ask Bart about her or just turn and ask her directly.

Yes it is hard to tell. Bart apparently gave an invite to Bronwyn (according to Kaelyn's last post) but it's tough to know whether she accepted it or sought Bart out at some other time.

Incidentally, did Bronwyn really have a whole alchemist's lab packed away in a backpack?

hmm

That would really depend on bronwyn.. But I was under the assumption she would be there with you all wheb I wrote the update.

As for the alchemists lab, I wonder if it was that suitcase pop-up alchemist kit I've seen..

As for the update I'm working on, still need some posts before finishing..

Bronwyn

Bronwyn had a alchemist lab from the start, it weighs 50 lbs, and it costs 500 gp. IT was carried in the packs on Buttercup.

I posted on 2/3 for Bronwyn that had most of that information in it at least her speaking to Bart about working here for now. She asked Lord Bart for a space to work while she waited for Elendil's return She is going to try to see if she can make a living here. In others words, would there be a market for her potions and other magics. I just have to find out what and how to make them and how long it takes. Anyone know off hand?

Traveling

How long will it take for Elendil to get to the Forest and the Council. I finally found my FR interactive atlas so I looked up area.

OK here is some information I got from my FR Interactive Atlas.

96.5 miles from Castle Tethyr to 6the town of Zazesspur, Zazesspur is just to the south of the mountains. From Zazesspur across the Starspire Mountains by road is 47 miles and another 72 along the road to the middle of the western edge of the Forests of Tethyr. Not sure where the main enclave of Elves is in the forest. From the mid way through the forest on the road to the eastern border of the forest is 319.5 miles.

For referenc information, Top Endurance horses can do 100 miles in 11-13 hours (not including mandatory rest stops of 8- 10 hours) cross country over some really ruffed terrain of teh Rocky MOuntains including two rises in elevation from 4000 to 8000 to 3000 to 5000 with a really rough climb over Cougar Rock, a steep area of granite boulders and outcroppingsin as part of Tevis Cup Endurance Ride. A good horse can cover relatiively falt to tolling hills at 35-45 miles per day fo rseveral days in a row with plenty of rest stops and good food. The trip will be on a road it should be easier I am thinking. Though like an endurance rider Elendil will walk and jog beside the horse to spell her.

So let me know so I can plan
