...on third thought...

Alright, I’ve modified my stance on that. Let me know what you think.
Downhouser – Center. If he plays defender, the fakeouts will be detrimental to the game. Plus, he can plow the way for the wings. He has nice points in both physical and skill to pull this off.

Virago and Katie – Wings. It’s all about speed and acrobatics baby.

Danyael and Percy – Defenders. Percy has decent physical and skill points; Danyael has extreme mental capabilities (so he’ll hopefully notice the puck flying by him) plus the whole sleight of hand skill (disappearing puck anyone?) and kung shui. Oh, and that whole advantage of Percy’s “Crazy Prepared - You don’t get to be a notorious serial killer by NOT having backup plan after backup plan on ice, now, do you?”

Vitali – Goalie. Hand eye coordination is key for playing goalie. Vitali seems to have a lot of that, especially in his ‘zombie apocalypse” training and awareness skill. A goal is the ultimate defendable position. *winks*

ok

Two ideas

Plan a)

Put Downhouser in the net because he'll probably fill it up. Just stand there Conan. Don't move. Punch anyone that gets too close.

Katie and Vitali as Wingers because they have the most skill and can probably score a goal or two.

Danyael and Percy as defenders for same reason Celeste said.

Virago as center, since he can probably kill everyone with a hockey stick.

Plan b)

As above, except Virago as Center/Enforcer, and kills everyone with a hockey stick.

Yes Indeed

First off, nice to join you all. I've been eager to get going on this. So, I'll waste no time on putting out my input and the like..

To start, Vitali is a highly defensive character. His primary talent is not killing people, but rather, keeping people alive. His advantages aren't of much use while on a out and around the ice, but when in a stationary position, he'll be very capable. Spatial Awareness, high Skill, and Batten-Down can be of extreme use in goalkeeping.

Secondly, he's not a big, tough character. He can't stand up to checks (Though he might outmaneuver them), but the MAJOR reason to stay in net is my disadvantage. All it'll take is getting caught digging the puck out of the corner, and You Go Ahead, I'll Be Fine kicks in. Then, he's the most useless thing on the ice. Even if he takes a puck in the face, if he's in net, he doesn't need to move very far to keep on guard.

Thus said...my setup is similar to that of Celeste.

Center: Downhouser. Capable of shoving his way down the ice, and clearing the road for the wingers. Furthermore, if the need should arise, he can just truck the opposing center and take the puck away from him.

Wings: Danyael and Katie. Danyael can bank off of Downhouser to bait the captain, and set him up for a world-class hit. The ability to neutralize a solid player is a good benefit. As for Katie, being able to handle the puck efficiently is extremely valuable. Also, she's badass.

Defense: Percy and Virago. Percy, for his good physical and skill. And his creepiness might get in the way of trying to take a shot on goal. Good for a last line of defense. Virago, for his high-angle capacity. Potential to NOT get killed while trying to clear the zone. And his ability to handle the stick could be useful for trying to keep aggressors off the goalie. Furthermore, he's extremely fit, meaning good ability to take down corner-diggers. Also, between Virago and Percy, that's six awesome points to put towards keeping our zone quite clear.

Goalie: Vitali. High skill and entire-orientation at defense makes him good for little else (Aside from trying to pick corners on the net, and even then, if he gets flattened in their zone, he's not getting back to ours) Also, being the new guy whom nobody knows anything about, it just seems that much more awesome when he snares some tough shots.

That said...let's get down to business!

Bash, Smash, and Trash

I like the changes, Tek. I'm with what you've got set up!

Don't worry Admiral, Virago will get plenty of opportunity to maim, kill and destroy as a defender ~~ even more so then the front line. Front line's main job is to score, defenders generally beat the crap out of players coming into score.

I would like to take this oppotunity to publicly take responsibility for bringing Tek back from the dead using ancient voodoo magic.

I would really, really like to also claim that I am in fact Spiderman, but that would lying.

The first thing is true though, totally happened.

Totally.

And now, onto the beating!

Agreed.

I'd apologize about the directing in the post, but I thought it would speed things up a bit so we can get into the game. I can change it if its too much of an issue, just let me know.

Rehah

Just so you lot know, I plan to jump right into the game for the next update, so if you could post a couple things here in the Q&A just to make that eaiser for you/me (can't really include them in a in character post really).

Some basic plans for your character (I'm looking to check anyone who comes near/run up the side and break for the slot for a close up goal/fire slapshots from the point like a motherf***er) anything like that.

Also, If you plan on using an action points for something, or want to keep one contingent (If I'm about to get ploughed through, use one to dodge/Use one to fire unimaginably hard shots from the other end of the rink/use one to stop a speeding puck with a pinky finger/etc) please post something up in this thread as well. Or PM me, if you wish for it to be a surprise. Either or.

I love lobsters.

My info

General plans:

1) If I get a chance to swing by and make the captain's wife swoon.. I do so. (And other provoking tactics towards the captain) If I have a chance to take one for the team and flirt with the abominable ice chic, I'll try to subtly convince her that if the captian smears me, I won't be ablt to entertain her later.

2) I plan to stay alive. For me, scoring the goals is secondary, but if I have the opportunity I take the shot (I don't intend to act the part of a coward).

3) Overall, I plan to be more of a distraction than a player. I don't want to mess up the looks after all.

Awesome points... keep me alive, mobile and lacking permanent scarring.

Plan of action

Main goal: Score, and score often. Along with regular forehand shots, she’ll try for backhand shots to try and confuse their goalie, and hopefully pull it off because she’s fast. In addition, she’ll try feints to confuse the defense, and maybe feed a player or two to Downhouser.

In the event that she might be checked, she’ll try to dodge and hook the opposing players in an attempt to trip them. If they are tall enough, she’ll duck and try to go between their legs (we used to have a real short local guy pull that off on the rink ~ awesome!) If someone comes up behind her, she’ll hip toss to throw them off balance when they are close enough. Maybe if someone is coming to check her straight into the boards she would either hip toss as well or just dodge out of the way.

I’m defiantly exploiting how fast she is even though she has a *decent* physical score.

Something I didn't mention before, this will be going Period by Period, to give you time to adjust if something isn't working or is, however you want to run it.

3 period game, or until one team isn't in "playing shape" anymore.
