Question
Does coming up behind him count as a sneak attack?
And doe the sneak-attack immunity negate the damage my CMW would do (if any) ?
Because, technically, since he's being challenged from the front and i come around back, that's a pincer maneuver.
OH! And i forgot to mention that I may not be able to post this weekend with much frequency.

Sneak attacks
Undead are simply immune to sneak attack damage, not the penalties of being flanked or anything else, so if you successfully cast and hit the undead with your cure moderate wounds, barring spell resistance or some other such thing the damage would still affect it.

Silcoravaman update
Once in the private room (IF he gets there), and after speaking to the messenger, Silcoravaman will turn toward the window only so far as to put the door at his flank, and not directly behind him ...
But he will attempt to put or keep the messenger behind him ...

Even though you posted first, it looks like your character and mine be thinkin' alike, an' that can't be a bad thing (unless we're both wrong -- erg!)
I didn't even have to edit my post, 'cause we seem to have the same idea ...
go fer it! And I thought I was gonna miss out on some fun ...

Question for flirty
Any Weaon strikes will undoubtedly hurt the MAgistrate's body. Now there is always the chance of Striking for non-lethal subdual damage, which can only bring the target to unconsciousness. (You suffer a -4 on the attack when attacking with a weapon that deals lethal damage as you have to use the flat of the blade, hit non vital places, check your swing etc etc)
Don't want to account for you attacking him for lethal if there's an alternate method.
Of course you could post a reply to Silcoravaman's suggestion and negate this entierly lol.

Also
as I have updated, you may now review all the posts up to this point, and if you deign anyone worthy, you can give them a CD point as explained on the first page of this thread. Remember, they are not manditory, but are a way to encourage people, show appreciation or interest in their work, etc, it takes the place of the limit of only one applaud per thread, and can lead to some nice in game bonuses the more accumulated.
I also have the authority to hand out Cd points each update, and have given out the first one so far.

This was ...
..... a very tough choice!
I looked every post over about 5 times or so and decided that it would be easier just not to give a CD award if I could not give out multiple CD awards!
Finally I decided to award the CD to Ilya amakiir on the basis that every character seemed to enter this adventure with a definite motivation towards agressively getting involved as adventurers.
My thought is that it took a tad more creativity to get the one Passive Character, namely Ilya amakiir, involved with the party.
His establishing a rapport with Bugsy and building around that rapport to spark him to intervene and strike in behalf of Bugsy took a bit more creative license to pull it off ... although an argument could be raised that taking liberties of using Bugsy in dialogue and storyline as an NPC may have been encroaching on Kaelyn's territory?
[Still remembering Kaelyn's reaction to my original Ghost post when we first started playing!]
Would that I had been able to grant 4 or 5 CD awards!
So I had to analyze each character introduction and then observed how they dealt with the sudden impact of the intruders ... which is why I chose Ilya amakiir to receive a CD award at this present time!

creative liscenses
Hammer, in regards to your statement. I typically do not frown upon any creative liberties taken by the pc's (even speach or creating npc's )So long as they have no fundamental impact on the game. IE, Bugsy for instance, I created with the friendship of Ilya apparent, he just ran with it, it lead to no rolls, no buying of anything nothing mathmatical. no problem
Creating a npc in which combat is involved is another story, as it has a direct impact on the game, thsly those should be left up to me. Anywho, this game is filled with new players and those new to this type of thing, it's a learning process, so no worries!
We'll simply take it one step at a time.
AS far as posts have been so far though, I'm quite impressed, and look forwad to more.
