Well... no...

...I just wanted to taunt him a little. Maybe give him a kitty cuddle... you know?

Also - hooray for narrower tunnels! That should be fun! And, yeah, I didn't figure we'd be able to tell how many shamblers boogied down either tunnel... Fully expect to run into more of them which ever way we go, tbh (and wouldn't be surprised to have others hit us from behind, either).

Anyway - Ch'dau's thoughts are that the priest that peed in his robe probably wouldn't have fled in the direction we truly want to go but, then again, he's not the smartest guy in the room, either.

Thoughts from the rest?

I mean...

You could follow him on a wild goose chase.  Or he could be gaining some sort of advantage over the party (trap, etc) if you let him go.

You tell me!

Yeah...

...therein lies the dilemma, I suppose.

If pastor pee-pee pants is leading us on a wild goose chase, we run down the "Kith clock" for nothing if we go after him. On the other hand, if we don't give chase, he gets the chance to put on clean robes, gather more zombies, etc... Neither option is without its "what-ifs."

Well...

I think that may be the most tactically sound suggestion that anyone has made.  I love it!

The longer Kith is captured, the more I side with the DM.

It's so strange.

Something like Stockholm syndrome.  And you're warming to the idea of Kith being a god's mother, with girlfriend/grandma Davena to help protect the bundle of joy...

Omg

That sentence just made my stomach turn.

I take it back, SAVE KITH OMG HURRYYYYYY

EDIT: It's been a few minutes and I'm still laughing at "girlfriend/grandma" so it may be too late. I may already be Stockolm Syndromed.

Meh

Ch'dau has 18/90ish, not 18/00.

Girlfriend/grandma is hilarious.  Wrong, but hilarious.

I think our breebles has a morbid fascination to see where this thing might truly go.

Like I told her via PM, if y'all fail, maybe the next party can be adventurers bent on killing D'hurgen junior before he gets strong enough to fully manifest.

I, breebles . . .

Love and care about Kithran a lot (aided in large part by being in her head a lot for Kith, Cat, and Khatun), but I also know things aren't great right now and there are a lot of not-so-great paths that can manifest. I'm just trying to accept them all now to lessen the blow later, in case she ends up doomed to whatever she's doomed to.

Also, let's be honest, morbid curiosities WILL be the death of me

PS after Reralae's post: GET HIM

My bad!

I misread the sheet. 18/90 still ain't bad!

Also, Bree, if it makes you feel any better better, I'm becoming less and less convinced that Ch'dau is gonna survive this venture any more than Kith... And if he does, he'll be a much darker soul, I'm sure. Especially if Kith doesn't make it... And most certainly if he has to kill her to spare the world "the anchor."

Whereas on my side

I have three Aranwen in my head - one in the past with our precursor story, one in the present storming the fortress, and one in the future where she is in a position to talk to Davena directly...

There are answers she wants, answers that I have no doubt she does not want to hear, but answers she desires nonetheless.

To the Aranwen of that future, this is all feeling too familiar, and she would rather not retrace the same steps she's taken before.

@Eol: Ah, yeah, I've been going to some pretty dark places myself to get into present Kithy's mindset. He may have to race her to end her life if that's the only way to prevent it. We'll definitely have to have some drinks across space and time if it comes to that, cat beast

@Reralae: I know what you mean! I have present existential crises Kith in my head, sassy/deadly past Kith in my head, and past-past-coming-of-age-and-about-to-have-a-very-bad-time Kith in my head haha

I do hope Ara gets her questions to Davena though, if only for my own selfish curiosity
