Now that the immediate threat of freezing to death has been removed, the party can get back to doing the important stuff: killing monsters.
Sure, Brad may have it worse than most, but experience says that with the exception of the odd hardcore roleplayers out there, most D&D gamers are just looking for their next enemy to kill.
Not saying that this is bad, of course.
