Olan's thoughts for this strip:
After much fanfare, Loaded Dice proudly presents the first strip with our new artist, Lyra Logan! We had some bumps in the road (mostly due to wacom tablet issues), but we are back, and if all goes according to schedule, we'll be producing two strips per week again.
I can't tell you how excited I am - I LOVE the new character art.... and check out the backgrounds!
As for the comic itself, you can see that we are picking up right where the plot left off. It's always immensely satisfying when, as a player, some crazy scheme that you cook up actually works. A good DM knows this, and will allow the "rule of cool" to carry the day (or at least work to some extent) if the plan is reasonable, well thought out, or entertaining enough. There's way more to a good game than endless opposing die rolls, don't you agree?

Script for this strip:Steve (narrator): The plan (surprisingly) works to perfection. The first statue crashes to the ground, shattering a good portion of an arm in an attempt to catch itself.
Ray: Yes!
Steve (narrator): The damage makes it difficult for the statue to regain its feet. Meanwhile, the second statue is unable to stop its momentum in time, and it trips over the first one.
Brad: Did one of Ray's plans actually work?
Rich: Somebody write this down for posterity.
Ray: Shaddap.
Amy: Hush. How badly are they damaged?
Steve (narrator): The broken limbs have made it near impossible for the statues to stand, and they simply flail about on the ground for a while before totally freezing in place.
Rich: The bigger they are, the harder they...
Tim: Don't you dare. We already have to live with your puns - start spewing cliches and I'll physically injure you.
Ray: I second the motion!
Tim: All in favor?
Steve: None opposed? Very well, then... motion carried!
Rich: brikker brakker, rassafrakker...
