Iron Man

Tons of action and fights, but not just bloodshed. Amazing storyline, good directing, perfect cast, and just enough romance not to be sappy.

On a scale of 1-10: 15

Not easy

I hate to throw around recent movies too much, because it makes it seem like you have no sense of perspective, but superhero movies have only recently managed to actually, you know... not suck.

Going to have to say Dark Knight, the only sequel in history to be better than the first. That said - Spirit makes a good showing is you're into camp... or beautiful backsides... or Sam Jackson in Nazi uniforms... or anything of the genre "awesome," really.

Ask me again when the Watchmen finally comes out.

Edit: I would like to point out that Ryst like's Samuel L. Jackson's nazi bottom.

Watchmen

I'm trying so hard to not get my hopes up about that one... It wouldn't be the first great thing Hollywood destroyed as soon as they got their grubby mitts on the rights. Starship Troopers, anyone?

sequals...

I think Spidey 2 was better than the first.

Eh

I have faith in Watchmen. If they mess it up it might destroy me however. :<

As to Iron man...

While it was true that there was lots of action... not too many fights.

First, he torched a couple of helpless people - okay, not totally helpless, they were shooting at him - people with a flamethrower in the first suit.

He fought Iron Monger for all of 8 minutes or so.

Good plot, good action, lack of fights.

But that's just my two cents.

As my favourite, I will have to say X-men 3. It was quite enjoyable.

Tough choice

I like superhero movies in general, but it is hard to pick my favorite. Iron Man has been my favorite superhero for years, but the movie lacked actual fighting.

Fantastic Four was also fun, I thought, with my favorite villain, but again there weren't enough Heroes/Villain fights in my oppinion.

Spider-Man movie was good, Spider-Man 2 was good, Spider-Man 3 was not so good.

Superman was only 'meh..' kind of good.

Batman Begins and Dark Knight were awesome, both of them.

X-Men and X-Men 2 were good (the first I thought was better), but I wasn't happy with X-Men 3.

Batman and Batman Returns were good. Batman Forever was not so good, but had Jim Carrey. Didn't save the movie but he was still in it. Batman & Robin was bad. It had Arnold in it but somehow managed to make him look bad too. Until then I didn't know that was possible.

I liked the old Superman movies when I was little. Only saw the third movie more than once since that's the only one we had on a tape back home. I think I saw the first and the second at some point, and possibly the fourth (I think there was a fourth movie), but I remember very little of them.

I recently saw the old batman movie with Adam West. It was weird.

Haven't seen Spirit yet, but it looks cool so I guess I'll see it someday.

And the Hulk movies. The first one did not suck. Hulkish dogs however can do that to a movie. I liked how they edited the movie to look like a comic book. The redux was much better though, in my oppinion. Hulk's fight with Tim Roth in the end (and the beginning) was pretty much what lacked in the other movie.

There are few movies I'm looking forward to in this and next year (possibly also in 2011). Thor is one I'm looking forward to, Captain America is another one which I think will turn out great, the Wolverine movie looks cool, then we'll have the Avengers movie, and Iron Man 2. We can probably also expect another Batman movie, which will be sweet. I'm looking forward to all of these.

Depending on the day, any of these movies could take a place as a favorite. I have no single favorite.

well

In fact, I would say that the first Hulk was better than the second one. But only by 1%, though.
Though the fight at the end of the 2008 one was better, it didn't have any closure... so now what? That abomination was choked but still alive... does that mean that they can contain him now? that was odd.

And I like Hellboy I. The second was pretty alright, but pretty alright doesn't compare to other great movies like the Dark Knight or Spiderman 2.

And one of my favorites is of course The Incredibles.

Oh, and in my opinion, Superman Returns sucked really really hard.

I think about this too much.

...which is why superhero movies are the only movies to which I apply the old school-type grading system. Examples:

The Dark Knight, Iron Man, X-Men 2, Spider-Man 2 = A+
Batman Begins, Spider-Man, X-Men = A
The Incredible Hulk, Hellboy, Hellboy II = B+
Spider-Man 3 = C
Superman Returns = D
Hulk, X-Men 3, Ghost Rider, Fantastic Four = F

....You get the point. But The Dark Knight is totally my favorite superhero movie.

Eh, I'd bump Fantastic Four up to D and Superman to F.

Personally.

Ugh

I dont even want to think about about how horrible Superman Returns was. He was a serious wuss in that movie. Really, since he's invincible and all, you'd think he could get any woman he wants..but no...moron.

I have a question. If Superman can stop a speeding bullet..and usually does...why does he duck when you throw a revolver at him?

Maybe the revolver was made of Kryptonite?
