What Games are You Planning?

I know I can have several ideas for games or adventures every month. Sometimes, I push these ideas to the back of my head for later use and sometimes I start the actual planning.

Like just now, I've done some basic planning for a Serenity RPG game that I'm interested in starting (I've been watching Firefly, sue me). The game uses some material from Fireflyrpg.com such as floorplans for the main ship. It is in the base-plot stage but I like the system and I am hopeful about getting this game started in a near future.

I'm also toying with an idea for a game of Exalted 2nd ed set in the seas of the West, with some focus on swash-buckling action against Lunar pirates and seabattling stunts against the Dead Armada. It sounds fun but I'm going to think some more about it.

But I am interested in knowing if it is only me who gets a boat-load of gaming ideas or if there are others who share my dreadful curse. More to the point of the thread: What games are you currently working on getting started, and what ideas would you like to get out of your head and into the gaming world?

Two for me...

I have two ideas... one is more of a campaign. The other an introduction to a specific setting.

The Campaign: I've been living with ideas and game plans for a campaign setting in Northern Audalis (the world found here). It's a mix of linked adventures, with some overarching plots that is looking to tie it together. My basic idea is of a group of characters coming to the North for their own reasons, but getting wrapped up in the lives of the people. So far, it would require the characters to be "do-good"ers, moving from place to place, helping folks solve a number of "problems" and becoming heros of the area. I've got material that should easily take characters from level 3 to level 15... but that also means it's nearly 15 different adventures, each of which could easily take 4-6 months a piece to complete. (5 - 7 years of online games. )

The Intro Adventure: I recently picked up the Midnight Campaign Setting book (2nd Edition) and I am really interested running a few adventures in this world. I love some of the changes they've made to the character classes and character creation process. And I love the "feel" of the world (kind of an apocalyptic, dark, conspiracy feel). My idea is to create pre-generated characters for the game (likely an all human party consisting of a brother, sister, cousin and friend) and move through some low level "adventures" so that I and the players can get a feel for the world.

I've also got a D20 Modern Military game on the backburner, and a D20 Modern Superspy game on the very far back burner.

Good idea for a thread, Skari-dono!

Something Silly

I have for a while toyed with the idea of an Epic Campaign but have not the time. I'm currently DMing one game right now however.

Which reminds me, I need to update that.

Hum.. Games

I'm working on getting Lantan up to speed with Home Grown, yes, they are in the same time period and yes they will affect each other. I am planing a small Star Wars game based roughly on trade, space combat and that general sort of thing (might run different versions of this and have an ongoing competition).

I have two games running at home as well but I keep those strictly face to face.

As for future games I plan to create my own version of D&D.

Audalis

I'm predictable, no doubt. As soon as my Guiding Light adventure wraps up, I'll be launching another Audalis game.

I'd love to run a campaign, but it's seems a lot more condusive for my flaky self to stick to adventures only.

Warhammer

I just launched a warhammer game that should have some staying power, if only by rotating players after short adventures. The storyline lends itself to a rotating cast, if need be.

so much in my head!!!

Man, I have so many ideas for games, but no time ... NO TIME!!!

I'm planning a horror game, either set in Audalis, or perhaps Ravenloft. I think I will make it in Audalis, but with a nice Ravenloft feel. It crossed my mind to take an adventure like 'The Created', and place it in Audalis somewhere, to use it in my Audalis Shorts series (which I'm still running, but also still at the first adventure (Filthy Thief) ).

It has also crossed my mind to do an all monster Audalis game in this series, or a Audalis primitive adventure (back to the time of the cavemen: magic is raw, gods are young or not there yet, major cities are just starting to become gathered huts).

I would LOVE a Planescape game, but not with me as DM.

I would also love to restart my God of the Gnomes game, but I don't think that will ever happen.

Too much to do, not enough people to do it for me.... ehm... TIME to do it.

Ideas

Nice thread. I haven't GMed for a while but that doesn't mean I haven't had lots of ideas for campaigns. Recently, I've been thinking how much fun it could be to run a historical campaign, specifically something with pirates. Another idea I've had for well over a year is campaign based on the computer game Startopia (which in turn bears a lot of similarities to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).

In addition to those ideas for a setting, I've been interested in running a campaign where—just like a good movie—all of the characters are intrinsically bound to the plot of the campaign, meaning they're not just PCs that the players have created individually and without much of a context. I'm a fan of short, intense campaigns (i.e. high rate of posting but only a few months' campaign duration), and I believe a campaign like this would be easier to turn into this kind of movie-like story than a long-running one.
