Aight, without the plan actually being concrete that's about all the update I can post.
Isiah and the boys have left. For any of the group that is interested, they can watch him through the window make his way up the path through the field and disappear from view as he makes his way to town unmolested.
Currently the fire is providing visible illumination in the hut just for reference.
Also in the morning I will be providing a rough "area map" as produced from Calopee's absolute travesty of a survival check as well as the group's observation of the area, if this helps at all.

Watching out the window is a good idea.
I vote for extinguishing the fire, concealing ourselves, and seeing how the riders react to an apparently empty house.

edit: within and without of the house

Concealment
Big yes to watching the window, and good with distinguishing fire too.
A lot of us will still be able to see.

hmm
relos would probably want to confront them as they approach, wanting no harm to come to any of their property. or if they just end up riding off after approaching then we'd have an awkward situation since they might come back some time later. Whether that late is next day or next month who knows, but we gotta take care of these bandits here and now

I like this idea, it works very well for the sneaky types and makes a good place to stage a battle. Doesn't lend itself well to diplomacy really though.
Why don't we leave the light on and have some folks out in the shed awaiting a signal?

Jozan makes a good point. I had made the assumption they would at least come to the house..... but if there is no sign of people, they may ride on... if the there is a sign, they may do something drastic, like burn the crops, and then ride on.
Perhaps we actually do need to confront them then. Thoughts?

Something I want to mention, in the interest of getting to the good parts.
In situations such as this, having short posts in game is not really a bad thing, so long as the short posts are still good posts.
When a plan is decided on, having the characters quickly discuss and agree/enact it means we can get to the fun parts that much quicker.
And I do love the fun parts.

Confrontation?
I'm a fan of avoiding confrontation as much as possible, but if it's unavoidable then we should figure how we want things to go. Do we want to go with diplomacy? subterfuge? or a mix of both?

Relos forward sounds good to me, perhaps with Mal and Tristan flanking him? Calopee has expressed interest in hiding, and is good at it. I would not atempt to guess what Sehanine would prefer to do.
Does anybody else get chills when Grugg says 'fun parts'?

.
it seems like the consensus here is relos and maybe another person meets the riders, while everyone else waits in hiding. sound good?

Spine Chills
Might be good to keep Sehanine hidden to. Let her be a surprise.

.Message subject cannot be blank.
I can agree with this plan.
EDIT: Typing happening too fast. Mal can either flank or hide, he's pretty good at both.

Ok then... thats our rough plan I suppose. Relos and Tristan forward, possibly with Mal if Schnozzle decides to go that route. Calopee and Sehanine in hiding.
This is, of course, subject to complete and total change if Philosopher has more to add or a different/better plan.
Philosopher, we await your input.

I lean towards hiding. I feel like Mal channels Batman or Zorro a bit, so that's my plan.

Pull the trigger.
I can post my intentions later tonight, but it will be brief. I'll want to find a place that is hidden enough to stay concealed, but fortuitous enough as to be able to attack, if necessary. The house would be a thought for me, but if Relos is meeting them head on from outside, I'd rather be near his position, off to the side, ready to strike.
