Same bat time same bat channel. (For those of you that don't speak batman, thats 8:30 central, in Tiamat's Gambit.)

game went well tonight though all those I was expecting didn't show up. So the dragon wasn't encountered yet, will hopefully get to that next week.

Ok we started a new adventure where the PCs investigate rumors of a young red dragon that has taken up residence in a dormant volcano in the MT. Daemon range, and too close for comfort to a mine. The miner's are on strike because they were promise hazard pay, but the Miner's Guild is falling back on that promise due to lack of facts on the dangers in the mines.

Last game session I ran my first bar fight. Went well, it was fun and well received.

T_O, Gerald, and Dvoloshin have been regular players so far. you don't have to be regular to play. I can generate a character for you, or BYOPC. As DM of these kind of short adventures I focus on the fun, not so much the rules. So come lurk or play message me directly in the chat room if you wish to jump in. All characters in game are lvl 6.

7:30pm Central time to get 3 hrs of gaming in despite Wifey errands and interuptions, lol.

I will stop making characters at 10pm central, lurkers are still welcome. any time before 10pm you can jump into the game tho.

Well this is going to tick the red dragon off! the party just routed and defeated the reptilian caravan of 4 Slaads and 8 kobolds, roughly a EL 8 or 9 for a 6th lvl party.

they got the treasure cargo for the dragon's horde but will they be able to keep it? On to the mines next week or to the volcano, whatever the party decides. They all leveled up this session to lvl 7.

Well made it into the mines tonight. The game play was slow going and had trouble keeping people in the room tonight. Kudos to Gerald Defay for sticking around to the end.

Hope for a better turn out next week. Not every session is going to be battle and treasure. there is a reason it called a dungeon crawl. ::

If im not mistaking, the game was canceled due to too few showing. So Gerald and I began testing my Q4S lite system for impromptu, unscheduled, "Boy am I bored" chat room gaming. Testing went well.

Now this was a game night to remember! Two games in one night. My game room stayed open from 8pm on the 23rd till 5am the morning after lol.

The party is about to meet something to make them call for their brown pants. They made it to level two of the mines and fought some kobold minions, but that is nothing compared to what they are about to meet.

Then we chatted for a while in the game room and brought up the rules and changes in the Q4S system and that began game two. A testing of the changes and new rules that were added, plus the ever expanding encounter table.

Just a friendly reminder of tonight's game at 7:30pm central time zone. The game will last until 11:00pm. Hope to see many inn mates there in Tiamat's Gambit tonight!

Game update from last week: The game went well considering the disappointing number of players last week. I expected more but Cest le vis *sp*.

The characters rescued celeste's old character Sister Rose and then decided to hunt for Brother Jasper before facing a somewhat unknown fierce enemy at the end of the tunnel. Lady Dark was our newest player that took over Sister Rose Leland for us that night and I hope to see her there again tonight!

And BTW Lady Dark, Thanks for the bump and your enthusiasm for the games! If Im not too tired after the 3.5 session, maybe everyone will be up for a game of Q4S.

Let this, today's post, serve also to remind those that are interested that tonight is game night and I'm hoping for an excellent turnout.

the adventure ended tonight with a small minion battle to soften up the characters for the real fight of good vs evil, the young red dragon.

What I can't figure out is that the party was a level 7 party and the dragon was a CR 7 creature. The battle was almost a TPK. They earned their gold and XP with that battle and completion of the adventure. So Im happy to announce that the characters level up to level 8 complete with items and money to spend new weapons and armors. Though a Faux pas was made in role playing concerning alignment and I had to send Sister Rose on an Atonement quest. So shes out for at least one adventure (just the character not the player. Lady Dark will be getting a half elf bard to play next week).

As always, I hope to see more interest in the chat games. Things seem to be slowing down with the chat room altogether.
